Thanks everybody! Lots of ups and downs this season, but I think we can all look forward to next year a much stronger Beaver team! I can’t wait!

Only seniors were Mulholland, Jones, and Armstrong. Casey is, I think, a graduated junior, and Ober and Claunch are juniors. If all the juniors return next season will have a monster roster to trim. Is there no Covid bonus year for 'seniors' like in other sports? Or was this year the bonus for last year? This year was the bonus year

For the first I can remember the Camera caught MC pissed off and mumbling after that devastating HR. He was rocked. One thing is very clear, we need more bigger and stronger hitters. Watching an inning of the Ducks the other night they were commenting on the new coach wanted and found more larger and physical players.
Looks like College Ball is all about HR now. Those southern guys don't much like the breaking ball, but look out FB. Their pitching sure was not all that great.

Okay - let’s just forget this and look at some potential positives for next year . Lots of young guys that got some great experience ! The defense was sold most of the time , we need some new strike throwing junk ball pitchers and our bats look pretty solid . We lose Armstrong , Ober ... and, maybe Claunch ! 2022 NC , or bust ! Go Beavers ! Only seniors were Mulholland, Jones, and Armstrong. Casey is, I think, a graduated junior, and Ober and Claunch are juniors. If all the juniors return next season will have a monster roster to trim. I think they all need to move on. Time for some fresh blood. Mundt absolutely tubed that GS pitch. Room-service fastball on a guy sitting dead red. His velo looked about 10 mph off from yesterday.

K’s and HR’s rule the current baseball game.

The bats went silent the last 6 innings and at about the same Time the pitching went wild. Not a good combination. Sometimes you need to outscore the other team.

The lack of consistency in pitching is the only thing the coaches could count on. On alternate outings, pitchers would be either pounding the zone, or walk machines. And you could never guess who would do what. Salgado was untouchable until 2-3 weeks ago, Mundt and Burns were unhittable yesterday, today they walked everyone who didn’t hit one out of the park. Our all-time saves leader wasn’t asked to come in and get a key out with the game on the line… that tells you a lot. And I don’t think anyone really questioned the call. Parker said today that he’s been told that Salgado has not been 100% healthy. If so, explains his decline in effectiveness. Coaches were probably hoping he could overcome to give us an inning or two.

In my opinion this last game was a summary of the season - we couldn't get an out when we had to have one, we couldn't get a hit when we had to have one. Hey coaches recruit some hitters that can put the ball over the fence.

We had a couple opportunities to put DBU away and squandered them. Hopefully, these guys can build on this season. I still don’t understand our approach to pitching. Seems we always pitch from behind in the count with too many free passes. It’s hard to win games at this level giving up 10 walks/HBP a game. I have faith MC and staff will sort this out.

Our pitching staff would be a lot stronger if they could learn to pitch to contact. Sometimes the batters aren’t going to bite. DBU was disciplined at the plate.

Merely observing. We pitched to contact pretty good in the last three innings today. Unfortunately that contact was pretty solid and went a long way. Again, I think we overachieved. It just hurts more tonight because we were in control of that game until we lost our control.

Maybe Parker should have told Canham and Doormat. Might have saved some, but not all, anguish.

Seems we always pitch from behind in the count with too many free passes. It’s hard to win games at this level giving up 10 walks/HBP a game. I have faith MC and staff will sort this out. Scott Cline's zone was inconsistent garbage in both game one and game five. Street looked all-world in comparison in game three. It was also a garbage zone, but at least it was consistent. You knew what was a strike and what wasn't. I was just watching Benefield in game one again. Bases loaded and one out. Abel is hitting all of the corners. If Cline wanted to, Abel could have struck Benefield out on the first three pitches. Instead, it's 2-1. Alright. I can see Abel not getting the call on pitch two. Pitch one is damned close. Abel wants that call and did not get it. Still 2-1. Fine. Pitch four is clearly a strike. That is a MLB strike 100% of the time, unless the umpire is struck blind, deaf and dumb shortly before the ball hits Claunch's mit. It is over the plate and under the letters. That is a strike. Instead, Cline calls it a ball. 3-1, instead of 2-2. Benefield fights off pitch five. Pitch six catches the inside corner in my opinion and should be strike three. At the very least, it should be 3-2. Instead, it is ball four. And that one run is the one run at the end that separated the two teams. And that is what put Oregon State into the hole that the Beavers could not crawl out of. In the end, every time that you do not host a regional, you run the risk of winding up in some backwater, losing the umpire draw and having both a Cline and a Street in a regional. The season was lost in the regular season.
