Can anyone remember the last time an opponent gifted us back-to-back bases loaded walks in an NCAA Tournament game? Not to mention that they were (at the time) the tieing and go-ahead runs. We can't say we didn't catch a couple of breaks today. We got robbed a couple of times, got a couple of cheap runs. The baseball gods are unpredictable

IF we were to win tomorrow.....strictly hypothetical (picture the Bobs in Office Space).......anyone know where we would likely end up playing a Super?? It's looking like Virginia and Old Dominion are going to a Game 7 tomorrow. That regional is not at ODU (the 1 seed) because they did not bid to host. UVA is a 3 seed. So I'm guessing a Super might be in Corvallis no matter who advances from the Columbia regional.

Question for wilkyisdashiznit when was the last time OSU had a walk off home run? Not Wilky here, but I think it was an Adley special against UP or PSU back in 2018.

Tomorrow's game slated to start at 3 PM CDT/1 PM PDT, but could change. I'll be away at work during that time, so no pbp from me. I vote rafer takes over. He hasn’t posted since page 18 of this thread. What’s that? He only posts when things look bad for OSU?! Huh, scratch that prior suggestion. Nicely done again messi. Here’s to you getting tomorrow off AND you needing to picking up games next weekend!😁

Well, I bow to your knowledge of how much Mundt has pitched this year. But what's really amazing is how you know what I'm going to say ahead of time. Actually I've lost confidence in Mully lately and was hoping MC would either leave Mundt in or go to Verberg. But you just keep predicting what I'll think and say...even a broken clock is right occasionally.... I'm sure the coaches also knew Mundt's status. Which might be why they made the change. It also might be the fact that the leadoff hitter in the 8th for DBU absolutely hammered a ball that Gretler saved from being a leadoff double with a great catch. And that the third out in the eighth was a pretty deep fly ball to Casey in left. And that he was at 30 pitches after the eighth, two days after throwing 19 on Friday. There are less than 32 teams in the country still alive. We are one of them, despite playing the final six weeks without our best offensive player, and with an undependable "ace" pitcher. At some point, everyone - and yes, that includes me - needs to shut up and let the coaches coach instead of micromanaging every single decision. It's amazing we got this far, beating the No. 6 national seed on its home field and beating another regional opponent in what is essentially a home game for that team. If they get this team to a Super I'd consider it almost an unbelievable coaching job. And so should you. Agree with virtually everything you've said here. Most importantly, someone must have done something right to get the Beavs as far as they've come so far....

Okay, a rephrase my question, when was the last over the fence walk off home run? Jordan Lennerton had one against USC in 2007 at Goss. Oppo-taco off the left-field foul pole.

The Beavs are playing as a team right now......no marquee players as u say but we are doing just enough to survive the day and play another day. It’s all we can ask for.....some of the youngsters are key as well as some big plays by the seniors....Casey catch against TCU saved us. Armstrong playing stellar d ....Claunch playing as good as I’ve seen him this year Pitching staff is dealing as well Only thing I gotta ask is for something to lessen my nerves ....Great day to be a Beaver

Okay, a rephrase my question, when was the last over the fence walk off home run? The last walk-off hit was Jacob Melton's single against Brigham Young to score Kyle Froemke in a 4-3 game three win. The last walk-off extra base hit was Preston Jones' 11th inning double against Utah to score Adley Rutschman in a 3-2 game three win in 2019. The last walk-off home run was Adley Rutschman's 10th inning inside-the-park home run against Nevada in an 8-7 win in 2018. The last over-the-fence walk-off home run was freshman KJ Harrison hitting a walk-off home run in the 11th against Fresno in 2015 in game one of a four-game series.
