16 hosts announced. Gonzaga is NOT one of them. The closest non-Pac-12 regional the Beavers could go to would be Texas Tech.

One of the wild card questions is, will the NCAA be willing to put conference foes in the same regional this year? Was there some chatter of that nature when they announced the 20 potential sites a few weeks back?

Unless we are in that regional That would be quite a Regional: tsdtr / Zags / Beavs / xxxxx. As long as UP isn’t in it.

Beavers will get sent to Arkansas, I'm guessing.

Beavers will get sent to Arkansas, I'm guessing. Not after they saw Abel Thursday night. Send us there as the 4 seed and let's just get this out of the way. Whole lot of people would be on the next plane there to see that one.

Well D1 baseball has Zona as #5 national seed and UO as #12 seed. Doesn’t that mean if they both win their regional then our top two Pac teams play each other in a super......I’m not buying that setup. They have us as #3 seed in Florida bracket....along with Miami...

In 2006 the Beavers played Stanford in the Super Regional.

In 2006 the Beavers played Stanford in the Super Regional. Oregon State was set up against #3 seed Texas. Stanford won the Austin Regional to set up the all-Pac-10 Corvallis Super Regional, but it was not by design by any means.

and of course, the SEC gets 7 of the 16 sites. Same happened with softball. Here’s how that turned out.

Miami would be a relatively weak two that would make sense in Gainesville. South Florida (the four-seed in the Baseball America projection) would be a good four to tie up Florida, while Oregon State defeated Miami. There are worse regionals to play in.
