The bullpen needs a nickname, so the two I'm entertaining are:
1) The Walk Brigade 2) The Gasoline Gang
These guys are getting good at blowing up games.

Toast wins today vs. a top 10 team. Holds best offensive team in PAC12? (nation?) to 5 hits / 1 run.
UCLA loses their series to Golden Bears (including a 14-2 Friday night loss). Now....who, is toast?

The one thing that I know for sure is that the bone should be thrown in the trash or buried in the back yard.
Five losses in the last six games is more than enough evidence.
Incinerate it. The Bone was at the game tonight, the Bone will never give up, never.

Would be surprised if we make a regional. Not an NCAA tournament team imo. The league in my opinion is down this year. Arizona,ASU,Stanford, osu and Ucla are mediocre this year. UO isn't a top 10 team from what I've seen. This team at osu is very inconsistent with little star power. Coaching has been suspect. On to 2022... Arizona just beat Oregon State 12-4. The Wildcats look like a gimme National Seed at this point. Nate Yeskie has cobbled together just enough pitching for the Wildcats to overwhelm pretty much everyone with their bats. Arizona has lost only two series on the year, one each at Stanford (lost game one in 13 innings) and at UCLA (the Bruins won game 1 on a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth). Outside of the series loss at Sunken Diamond, the Wildcats have won 15 straight. Oregon is a gimme regional host. The Ducks have lost two series on the year, both on the road. The first was in Tucson and the second was a headscratcher in Pullman. Oregon has won eight straight. If you ignore the road trip to Pullman, the Ducks have won 10 straight, 14 of the past 15 (Oregon was a 10-inning loss away from sweeping UCLA), 18 of the past 20, and 23 of the past 26. Stanford looks a regional host as well to me, right now. Stanford lost the conference series with California in Berkeley last weekend (with the rubber game decided by a blown save walk-off California win), but that is the Cardinal's only weekend loss on the year, and the Cardinal have defeated the Bears twice in nonconference play. Arizona State has had a ton of injuries but still is formidable. The Devils' only series losses on the year are to Arizona, @ Oregon and Stanford. And the Cardinal series was decided in a 12-inning game. UCLA is very talented but wildly inconsistent. The Bruins lost the first two at Sunken Diamond. Since then, UCLA is 15-6 with two of the losses coming at PK Park. UCLA is one of two teams, who was able to stop Arizona on the season. Oregon State is easily in right now. The Beavers need to win two of the next five. Short of there, your prediction looks more probable. At this moment, the Pac-12 looks as deep as it has in any year since 2015, possibly deeper. I am not sure, if you are going to see four Pac-12 teams in Supers and two in Omaha like in 2012, but I would not bet against it. I guess i would disagree. I think several of the normal PAC-12 teams are down this year. Osu,Ucla,Arizona and Stanford are not to their normal standard. Uo is not a top 10 team in my opinion. None are top 10 teams. I guess the proof is in the pudding come play-off time.

We are 7-9 since losing Melton to injury. Losing 3 of 4 series.
Seems worse, but those are the numbers. Losing UCLA, Win SC, lose ASU, lose UA. Should have actually won 3 of 4, but baseball is a cruel mistress.

UCLA and UA were ours for the taking

Stanford is doing about as well as 2019. UCLA is down a bit, but they are still stupid talented. And Arizona and Oregon have basically plugged the hole that Oregon State and UCLA have vacated. Arizona State has had a better conference season than they have had since 2015. If the Devils win the series against the Bruins, it would be Arizona State's best season since 2014. If they sweep, the Devils would have their best season in more than a decade.

Right now, not many teams out there that can't beat us, we have fallen off the cliff...Sadly, they had chances at being pretty dang good.

Ask Arizona how they feel about their series win and I bet they’ll tell you that they were LUCKY to escape with the series. It was a fluke.

Seems like it’s been a long time since the Beavs have rallied to win a game when trailing after the 7th. Good teams do that and right now, we haven’t been able to. Late inning pitching is marginal compared to what we’ve had it seems like

I almost posted something but didn't want to jinx them, even though I don't believe in that stuff. And then later, it looked like the current Beaver team that I am used to. Very disappointing.
