Neither Talia nor Greta made the team. Talia was named as one of the guard alternates, so I’d assume she was pretty close.

Verhulst and Citron both made the team and, all else equal, I’m sure them playing on the U16 team gave them a one up. I always remind people that Haley Jones and Elissa Cunane got cut from the U19 team two years ago and things have worked out pretty good for them

Some info on the roster - but it is not complete.....
The other players to earn spots on the team: Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, N.C. State’s Diamond Johnson, Wake Forest’s Jewel Spear as well as Stanford commit Lauren Betts. Also Notre Dame signee Sonia Citron, South Carolina signee Sania Feagin, UConn signee Azzi Fudd and Louisville signee Payton Verhulst.
The five finalists are Maryland’s Angel Reese, Arizona’s Lauren Ware, Notre Dame’s Maddy Westbeld, UConn signee Amari DeBerry and Arkansas signee Jersey Wolfenbarger. ---------------- The name that most surprised me was Arizona'a Lauren Ware - I don't think she was even a starter for U of A....But she does have a thick, athletic body and a solid future in the PAC.... GO BEAVS!!

The one that made me wonder about eastern bias again was Wake Forest’s Jewel Spear. She was ACC all conference on the frosh team but from what little I saw at the camp wasn't doing much whereas Talia was doing great with passing and shooting.

Cori Close was never going to give a beav a chance, dreaming.....She is a homer, and I've heard doesn't like Rueck either...Was never going to happen, but might serve as motivation for next year, put that chip squarely on your shoulders and remember. Just more east coast , blah, blah...I feel better now...:-)

The one that made me wonder about eastern bias again was Wake Forest’s Jewel Spear. She was ACC all conference on the frosh team but from what little I saw at the camp wasn't doing much whereas Talia was doing great with passing and shooting. Talia is a surprisingly good passer. However, she's deceptive in that when passing her arms often do not reach full extension, so visually, it looks less like a pass than it really is. She's a player who doesn't instantly "meet the eye test." You have to stick with her, watch her for quite a while, before the full value of her game becomes visible to you. At least that's the way it was with me..... Her leg stride gives the impression that she is not moving rapidly, but she is....A coach told me that she "moves slow but gets there first." Which, I guess, means she doesn't look fast but she actually is. All I'm saying is that it takes a while to realize how damn good she really is. Her athleticism doesn't jump out at you.... When you first meet her in the gym, and check out her frame, you might think she is a rugby player rather than a basketball player... In a nutshell, she's a helluva player but she doesn't necessarily look like one.... GO BEAVS!!!!

Maybe she doesn’t like Rueck, but recently she’s been great about giving credit where it’s due.. and that includes the OSU players.

Totally different position that our two Beavers, but Ware still being in the mix is interesting. Feels a bit influenced by the meteoric rise of Coach Barnes. Good player, but in my opinion not one of the top 14 players in the country under 19. The rest are legit....no arguments.

It’s her basketball IQ and ability to see all 10 players on the floor at once. If you are someone who only sees the ball when you are watching basketball she might not jump out to you at first glance, but she’s got incredible court vision and instincts. I love her game and I love watching her play.

Does this mean that TvO and Greta will now be in Corvallis for the summer?
