Hate to say it, but Abel isn't a Friday night guy right now.....his lack of command is killing us

The left fielder shoulda bypassed the cutoff.... accurate throw hoses Ober Left fielder usually has the weakest outfield arm. Probably wise choice.

Bottom of 4
Townsend to pitch.
Walks first batter. 1 on. Bunt to pitcher. Sacrifice. Runner moves to 2b. Very pretty K. 2 outs. Double off the right field wall. Runner scores. 1-2 bad guys. Base hit up the middle. 1-3. Base runner tries to steal second. BOOM! Claunched.
end of inning.

Great stuff. Zero command. ....and perhaps ZERO interest from MLB scouts. If he comes back in 2022 he might be able to resurrect his status as a MLB prospect. At present, he is NOT. Hopefully Abels's early exit after 3 innings in a 1-1 game, where he threw only 68 pitches is the first step toward Kevin NOT being the Beav Friday Night Starter in future games. Great stuff... a plus-plus pitcher to have on the staff - but NOT a Friday Night Starter.
