I noticed afterwards that Andrea wasn't one of the team members present on the zoom call for the End-of-Year Banquet last night. Given that we had players who have departed (Jasmine), I'm not sure if there's anything to read into that. Does anyone know what might be going on with her future on the team?

Yes, I noticed the same thing. Combined with the fact that she did not appear to be with the team at the NCAA tournament games, either, there's reason to wonder.

Gone, like back to Paraguay? Not part of the program?

Do you actually know that for sure Glove? Eggers printing news of "a prevailing heart condition" was enough to know we wouldn't see her on the court; it's just a matter of how long she wants to be a cheerleader here.

If she's moved on (and more power to her if she did), why wouldn't the team announce it as they did with Simmons?

Would have loved to have seen her play. Best of luck and best of health for her!

I find it hard to believe that they'd let Andrea wander off without a huge goodbye. Don't know what's up, but I really don't think it will be a secret when she leaves.

For those who were able to watch the banquet, did Sasha or Savannah show up?

For those who were able to watch the banquet, did Sasha or Savannah show up? No, they were not there... and their names weren’t even mentioned until towards the end of Scott’s talk and then just briefly. Other banquet info: Most improved player: Jelena (a nice speech given by Katie that must have been very encouraging for Jelena) Offensive player of the year: Aleah Defensive player of the year: Taya Rebounder of the year: Taylor Scott mentioned that Taylor played through pain this year with a shoulder injury. Hopefully she can get that taken care of before next season.

The Pac-12 had several good scoring forwards and none of then did very well against Taya. And Taylor having a shoulder problem makes sense as she stopped using a couple of her offensive moves during the year and in general wasn't making some shots that seemed odd from her past success. Hope there is something they can do for her, or at least time off will heal it.

Does anyone know AA's graduation status? Rueck may have agreed to keep her on schollie until she graduated. (Just guessing).
I pretty much agree with the idea that if she left the program there would be quite a bit of chatter everywhere about it.... Her precise medical situation has been kept under wraps pretty effectively for a major program that has thousands of eyes watching its every move....
It's possible that if the coaching staff took a salary cut because of Covid - that the Athletic Dept. might be tightening its budget, including out of state athletic scholarships which must be worth at least $50,000 per year (guessing). GO BEAVS!!

How can Jelena be the 'most improved player'? She didn't play at all the previous year. Will Greta be next year's most improved player?
Speculation on Andrea's apparent departure is just that, speculation. The university would be well served to clarify the matter, but I have no doubt that she was treated well and fairly in whatever the process was or is.
