How can Jelena be the 'most improved player'? She didn't play at all the previous year. Will Greta be next year's most improved player? Speculation on Andrea's apparent departure is just that, speculation. The university would be well served to clarify the matter, but I have no doubt that she was treated well and fairly in whatever the process was or is. Because she was on the team last year, and the coaches felt she was the most improved player. |

I thought I heard that Most Improved Player was voted on by the players. Can anyone confirm that? If so, the award would say something about the regard of her teammates.

1. MIP has to be given to someone. Perhaps it was meant to honour how much Jelena improved from the beginning of the season to the end of the season.
2. Of course talk about AA's apparent departure is speculation. Talking about something you don't know the answer to is, by definition, speculation.
3. Not sure what your "she was treated well and fairly" bit is all about. I think everyone here on the board has been overly impressed by how well Coach and the program have looked after AA during her time at OSU. I know I sure have been.

That's probably it - over the course of the season, not from last year. I hadn't considered it from that perspective. 3. I was just saying exactly what you said. If she's gone, it's not because she was forced out or anything of that nature. I'm sure Scott and the university did right by her, as they have from day one. |

If she is truly gone without ever playing a minute for OSUWBB that's a shame. But her health is the most important thing.

Plus , OSU saved her from a previously horrible East Coast Situation ! Good for her and the Beavers !
