We don't really know how everything is going to shake out yet in terms of players who will be on the roster next season. If the Beavs don't add any more players, I would expect a pretty heavy 3 guard lineup of Tea, Talia, and Greta, with Greta sliding to the 3 position at times when they would all be on the floor together. I think the Starter/Backup term will be somewhat semantics because playing time may be very equal between Tea and Greta. I would expect Talia to play approximately 30-33 minutes per game (Aleah last season almost 35), and Greta and Tea to play around 25 minutes each (Sasha 29 last season, Talia 24.3). Tea has averaged between 27.8 and 28.7 minutes per game for 3 straight seasons for San Diego State. I expect limited minutes from AJ as a freshman, but if she comes in and surprises, that would changes everything. Who get's the minutes up front is going to be very interesting as well. How do you divide up minutes between Taylor, Jelena, Kennedy, Taya, and Ellie? Ellie and Taya, or even Kennedy, (when the Beavs want to go big) may play some '3', but I expect Greta will play wing as well at times with her, Tia, and Tea on the floor at the same time, much as the Beavs played Sasha, Aleah and Talia. I also just decided that the Beavs recruited Taya, Talia, Tea, and Tamia, just to make it a pain on us fans who post on these boards. Do they realize how difficult it is to not get messed up and put the wrong name in? Ron Callan will have his hands full keeping them correct and Ann Schatz is doomed!! She couldn't keep names straight anyway. We're just lucky Tamia won't be playing this season. Could you imagen "pass from Talia to Tamia, to Tea, to Taya to Taylor for the lay in' . I am trying to get up to speed on how to pronounce their names (like Tea sounds like Taya, Marotte sounds like Merit, etc.) and now you throw "Tamia" at me. Who is Tamia? or is that how you one pronounces Timea?

Perhaps the best solution would be to take the Notre Dame announcer approach - just call them whatever feels comfortable coming out of your mouth at any given time,

I think Tamia is my way of confusingly uniting all these names, but she may be the ball girl., or a new team physician You can call me Ann Schatz.

Signing these two ladies makes me feel like we are headed the right direction in building another really good team. Looks like we are at 9 scholarship players,so I'm figuring we're probably looking at adding 2....maybe 3 more.
I was reading an article today about our rivals in uo and Graves mentioned he likes running a lean roster. Filling the roster with 15 ladies is really hard to manage. You take a risk in case of injuries of being short handed, but he and Scott are a like in having only 11 or 12 ladies on scholarship.
Imo,Scott has far from lost his touch or fallen behind. Stanford has a deep roster, but no other school in the conference is guaranteed of being better than osu going forward. Not uo...not Ucla...not Arizona...We are on par with all the rest and that is pretty good. Let's just see how much Arizona deals with the loss of their best player they have had in years in McDonald.

I think Stanford is currently alone at the top, and will remain there. They have #4 national recruit Brook Demetre and # 19 Okikiola Iriafen coming in this year, with #1 Lauren Betts following in 2022.
That said, we ain't chopped liver either. We can play with anybody else in the conference this coming year, and the only thing holding us back will be youth. In 2022, we'll be as good as any other contender for second in the conference, and in 2023, we can compete with Stanford for the conference championship.
I would look for Arizona to drop back a notch without McDonald - the rest of their team is good, but not great. Oregon is talented, but young like us, and UCLA loses a lot.
The conference will be very tough again, but we're going to be much more competitive. I sure don't look for losses to the likes of Utah and Washington State this year.

Really hoping for a full season and practice time to gel the team next year. Once we hit our stride this year, osu was a top 15 team capable of beating almost anyone. Looking forward to seeing a great product on the floor with fans in the near future.

Then hope no one draws a technical and gets Tee'd up! And little known fact, Luka Garza who was First Team All-American at Iowa this season is Teo Alibegovićs Nephew! Who knew?

From what I can tell, A.J. Marotte was the highest ranked player (#63) on the University of Washington's 17th ranked recruiting class for 2021. UW signed 5 players in this class, but Marotte was the only one in it who left, presumably because Wynn was let go. OSU was very fortunate.

I’ve also been thinking about this.. we just get to take their top incoming recruit and add her to our list of highly-touted newcomers? BIG ouch for UW.

Our 'class' for this coming year now has the numbers 25, 32, and 63 recruits according to hoopgurlz - and those first two were much higher before they changed rating services. Wonder where this class ranks nationally now? And wonder where the 2022 class will be with 4, 10, and wherever Adlee winds up.

Yeah, I get the sense that some of them (some fans at least) might be a bit ticked off at us. At least one (probably more) may even mark their calendar Others seem more resigned that with Wynn leaving, some departure was expected and they are glad it was only one.

The BIG ouch for UW was having their top 3 scorers transfer out. 4 of the 5 commits from the '21 class are sticking w/ UW, that's a big win for the new coach.

Adams is another player from the state of Washington choosing the Beavers instead of the Huskies - Von Oelhoffen, Corosdale, Pivec. This has got to be getting really old for them.
Of course, we haven't landed an Oregon player since Goodman, but, then again, neither has Washington.
