Seriously outclassed by a team that doesn’t even have any. Wouldn’t say that.... we should have won Friday and today’s game....both were there for the taking. I think we will learn from this and be a better team because of this.....Ucks have good squad are now one of the front runners in the Pac. But lots of games to play.....hopefully Mitch will learn and improve |

Oregon did what the beavs couldn't they put the ball in play and sometimes when that occurs sh#t happens. Wasn't it the 7th inning we had guys on 2nd and 3rd no one out and we leave them stranded. That's the difference between losing and winning.

That's the difference between losing and winning. What hurts about that situation in the 7th, Armstrong was the only player that I felt confident at the plate to bring home a run. Kasper and McDowell, not so much. It felt as if Armstrong didn't bring home a run, there would be no score. And of course, Andy whiffs. |

The quacks were poised, and looked battle hardened.......wait, who is the 3 time National Champions? |

Yes, the Beavers couldn't plate a run with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the 7th inning with no outs. Until they get better at the plate this will be a long season. The Beavers will not go very far with the current state of play. Other than pitching, there is a lot to be desired. |

But it was our pitching staff that had a collapse of epic proportions in the 8th of games one, and three. I said good teams will make us pay for our free passes.....well here we are. Our pitching staff leaves a lot to be desired right now as well, at least against formidable opponents. |

I know the athletic department is having financial issues but can it spend a relatively small amount on a team psychologist? A batting instructor, different coaching perspective, etc..isn't going to matter until these guys get their head on straight.

Right now, they don't, and it showed in Eugene....the talent is there to be a lockdown, manufacture runs, kinda team |

So, I mercifully couldn't watch yesterday's game, but I saw the comments that eluded to yet another $uck player who got hit in the hand.
Question for the rules people:
Is the hand not part of the bat anymore? Game 2 down there - $uck player crowding the plate of course, he starts to swing and the ball hits him in the hand. He immediately takes his pity lap to first base. Isn't the hand part of the bat when you are in the act of swinging? It sounds like a similar HBP happened in game 3. What am I missing here?

You do remember the 8th inning on Friday, right? A complete meltdown of the bullpen....i think they walked in 2 and HBP got another in......that's what lost the game. Had that not happened we go into the 9th tied at 1. Yea we didn't hit Ahlstrum, but at least we had a chance going into the 9th without the collapse of the pen |

I also seem to remember that you can not win a game when you are tied at 1 and you don't score another run. We had a chance in the 9th to score runs and we decided that we were good with our 1 run. |
