Embarrassing we have gone 1-21 with runners in scoring position. That is a 0.047 Ave plus our 15 k’s tonight. Not a recipe for success

You Can win games giving up 4 or 5 runs but its real hard to win games scoring only 1 run.

Anyone can head to the bottom given the circumstance, doesn’t matter where you start. Certainly hope it doesn’t happen. But if that’s the most fight our Beavs can muster in back to back games with our hated arch rival, I’m concerned. If others aren’t, that’s fine with me too. |

This week has certainly been concerning, but it’s baseball. UCLA has lost 4 of 5 in conference play after starting as the consensus conference favorite. Here’s hoping we get back on track tomorrow.

Old School here. Can't hit, can't score, can't win. What I would be concerned about is the number of K's and the lack of contact with runners on. I know the whole deal now days is Bat Speed equals distance. Bats are even different. Few adjust or even try chocking up or going the other way to make contact. Breaking Balls are pure poison to the Beav's. If it hasn't been done already it might be time to bring in a Hitting specialist.

We have a lot to be negative about so I'm going to mention something positive.
Verberg pitched 2.1 IN with no base runners, 5 K's on a mere 28 pitches. He went through the duck lineup like a butter knife.

It’s natural to be concerned. Who wouldn’t be? But being concerned and predicting a fall to the bottom of the Pac 12 are two different things. Or calling for the coach’s head. Be concerned. Be disappointed. Just leave out the drama. |
