I pulling for Stanford because I like Tara over Adia. Who are you pulling for and your reason? Or maybe you don't have a preference?

Originally I wanted Arizona but am not as sure now. I thought the double flip was lacking class. I understand her reasoning but save something like that for the locker room.
There is the possibility, even so slight, that Tara might reroute and go out on top. There are worse ways to retire than with a national championship.

I'm torn. Would be nice to see Tara get #3 and silence the criticism that she hasn't won one in 30 years. She may get some more chances though. I like Stanford generally speaking, and they are well represented with NW players (4 from OR and WA I think).
Arizona has been on such a great run. Maybe they'll become a new power, but McDonald has been a fairly iconic player for them, who knows if they'll ever get to this level again. Plus McDonald is a former Husky (Coach Barnes too) so I have a bit of a soft spot for them.
Either way a Pac 12 team wins, so I'll be good with it.

Has anyone heard Geno's post game press conference? I have not. And how are the UConn fans holding up that expect an automatic championship year in and year out. Kind of wakes them up to reality a little bit one would think.

I would like "zona. I really like Ari McDonald's game. But Stanford would not bother me

I expect Stanford to win and I'm kinda pulling for them. Everybody had a screwy season this year, but the politicians kept them from home for, what?, about 8 weeks. I admire how they handled that.

I'm for Stanford, and I hope she sees it as a chance to go out on top. Of course, with the current talent, she may want to go for two in a row. I'm ok with that too, but it's unlikely they win again next season.

Kind of wakes them up to reality a little bit one would think. Four straight years of losing in the Final Four and some of them are finally starting to wake up, at least a little bit. I don’t think a lot of them thought they were going to beat Stanford/South Carolina, but the overwhelming majority thought Baylor and UConn was the Final Four game.

I like Arizona and I like players like Ari McDonald. They have a talent and they let her use it. We need her type of ethnic diversity on our team. Something we sadly lack and something we lack on our coaching staff as well.

I like what Barnes has done for her program. I'm impressed with how she has fostered a very impressive defense from a good-but-not-great roster. I don't think she'll ever get another McDonald, so this might be her only chance to play for the championship. (Rueck, for example, never has).
Stanford could very well have a shot at the Championship next year, and the next....I like the way Stanford plays, and, as a rule, I don't like teams built around a single, dominant player.
In an nutshell, I've become a fan of Barnes more than a fan of Arizona. If I had to bet money, I'd take Stanford....But, I'm cheering for Zona... GO BEAVS!!

There is the possibility, even so slight, that Tara might reroute and go out on top. There are worse ways to retire than with a national championship. Adia claimed that was intended as a “private” comment to her team. Sure coach, on center court immediately after the biggest win in your program’s history with dozens of network cameras rolling. Nothing in any possible way “private” about that. Hey, I’m no prude so was I personally offended? Not at all. Actually made me chuckle. But it is certainly revealing. And it makes one curious about the language and gestures she uses in truly private moments with her team (like practices).

Something we sadly lack and something we lack on our coaching staff as well. Getting “ethnic diversity” is the easiest thing in the world to accomplish. I’m not sure there’s a direct correlation between that and winning (perhaps there is, I’d like to read the study). Now getting TALENT diversity. EVERYONE’S trying to achieve that and it’s far easier said than done. Talents like Aari McDonalds are few and far between. But If you’re saying OSU could benefit from having one or more players as talented as Aari McDonald, I would certainly agree.

Stanford got off to a fast start, Arizona couldn't put the ball in the bucket, but the Card didn't build the lead as much as they should have. Zona came storming back to briefly take the lead. Stanford went on a run again heading into halftime. 31-24. McDonald is having a brutal game. Fairly balanced scoring for Stanford, but Lexie Hull and Precthel are leading them, maybe not quite what was expected.

Can we find someone like Haley Jones to play the 3 for the Beavs?
