Is SISTER Jean out of eligibility ? I would hate for her to come in at the end of the game and hit a Hail Mary shot for them to win !

Half the posters would have screamed about no bunt. Half scream about the bunt. I am in the pro-bunt category except for the fact that AA is a terrible bunter. He had a huge, successful squeeze bunt a couple years ago, but he is not a bunter. Tough call. Joe Casey is a good bunter, but he was already pinch running. That was a good move as your fastest remaining guy is now the lead runner in a do-or-lose situation.
As far as the pitcher goes, he is the best relief guy for Santa Clara. He may walk 2 guys much like Mully, but he will find the zone. I am just thinking out loud and know squat, but I do understand Mitch's approach. Just 3 experienced guys didn't deliver. Need more Donkeys.

Pop-up bunts suck, but at least he was trying to put the ball into play. Those last two outs were typical of some of the weakest at bats we seem to be having with rather distressing consistency. a backwards K and a surrender half swing for the final two outs is just not acceptable. Stuff happens, but the lack of aggressive attitude at the plate in that situation is just bad baseball.
