On all of this garbage about how our guards aren't athletic enough.
Goodman FG 4-15, 3's 2-6, FT 0-0, Reb-4, Ast-6, St-1, TO-3, pt's 10
Henderson FG 5-15, 3's 0-3, FT 2-2, Reb-2, Ast-1, St-3, TO-1, pt's 12
Yes, Henderson is more athletic than Goodman. Are you seriously saying that she is a better PG than Goodman? That's the fewest rebounds and assists that Henderson has had all season, how about the job Goodman did defending her?
The problem was rebounds. If the rebounds were 40/40 instead of 30/50 the Beav's get 10 more possessions and and USC 10 less, and that 20 pt difference goes poof. And rebounding isn't about who is more athletic.

Ellie Mack and Taya Corosdale....a combined 57 minutes playing time, 0 points, 5 rebounds and 3 TO. That's a killer. Taya looked like she didn't want really want the ball on offense. She had a couple nice driving lanes in the game after getting the ball around the foul line, and passed off like she was holding a hot potato. I'm not sure why she has gotten so passive offensively, compared to her freshman year. She says she feels 100% after last year's injury, so idk. This team needs points from the 4, as well as defense and rebounding.

That was tough to watch. Scott takes all in stride but Aleah was very emotional.

Definitely sad, but I’m a huge fan of Aleah and the way she carries herself. An amazing teammate with such a good heart- total class act!

uhhhh...Williams of Stanford not having a problem shooting threes. The game isn't being played on the same court, ace. I know that, joker.

UCLA goes 1-19 on 3s at the AlamoDome, Texas 6-17. So, a combined 7-for-36. Domes are tough on shooters and make for terrible basketball.

If your shooters are focusing on anything else other than the rim, they're not good shooters in the 1st place. None of them are focusing on the back wall behind the basket. Boeheim's kid at Syracuse is one of the best 3 point shooters in the country and he plays all of his home games in a dome.

Syracuse practices everyday in a dome as well! But I guess we should always listen to Smails opinions because he has played and coached in the past......

So, wouldn't they shoot like crap in a regular arena? You know, because of the whole depth perception thing. None of the players must be able to make anything on an outside court. Huge, worldly, depth perception thing.

The Carrier Dome has a different setup for basketball than the dome being used in the women's tournament. There is only one court in the Carrier Dome, and it is surrounded by temporary stands that bring the fans almost as close to the action as in a traditional arena. So it's not a big change for Syracuse to play in a traditional arena. The dome in San Antonio is divided into two courts. There is wide-open space behind each basket, which does mess with a shooter's depth perception in a one-off situation. Here is an interesting story on dome shooting. www.nytimes.com/2016/04/01/sports/ncaabasketball/nrg-stadium-houston-dome-final-four.html

Still don't buy the depth perception thing. I would be more apt to blame any difference in shooting on the air circulation in a dome. With that size of the facilty, there's almost a wind generated by the air that has to circulate in the building. FYI- you linked a pay wall article.

There are absolutely shooter friendly gyms. There are also quite a few that are not. Since Smails said he was six five, he may not have shot many threes in his day.
