South Carolina is better than us. We are playing terrible, a good share of it, but not all, is our own doing. Stanford is better than South Carolina. If they meet, we’ll see by how much.

They’re playing on one end of the Alamodome. Probably an odd background for shooters. But they had shootaround and warmups to get it dialed in and just haven’t.

Hopefully next season with the new recruits we can climb back into the top 4 position in the pac-12 and get a 4 seed or better then we can go farther in the tournament.

Jeez, OSU can't hardly get to the charity stripe, but when they do they are only 2-5? Has anything gone right?

Jones didn't even touch their big and is fouled out. This game is such a hatchet job.

OSU NEEDS ONE PERSON WHO HAS ELETE SPEED SKILL SET FOR BREAKING DOWN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS. STANFORD OBLY HAS TWO. THATS ALL IT TAKES

Taylor fouls out and we shoot 3-19 from 3 = Beavs lose.

That was some really bad shooting at the wrong time. The Beav's had wide open shot after another and they didn't drop.
And they really need to work on rebounding more. Way too many rebounds where people were standing around watching to see what happened instead of scrambling after the ball.
Ah well, the roller coaster season is over.

Only three other teams held them to less than 60 points this year: UConn, NC State and TA&M. UConn and NC State are No. 1 seeds. If we could have hit some shots, we're right there, despite some awful officiating that gave them numerous unwarranted opportunities at the line.
Dome ball is horrible on shooters. No depth perception because there is so much open space behind the baskets.
Still wondering how a player holding the ball gets slapped in the face, no foul called live, and then on review when it's clear she's been slapped in the face it's called incidental contact. When you are holding the ball and get slapped in the face, it's a foul, whether the slap is intentional or not.

This is going to leave a real sour taste in their mouthes. Not a fun way to enter the postseason. Hopefully it will be motivating.
Amazing how different we played in the two games. SC deserves a lot of credit, but we looked beat from the tip. Outside of Jones and maybe Goforth to some degree, everybody played intimidated. I guess TVO didn’t look intimidated, she instead had insufficient respect and answers for their athleticism.
Been a fun ride regardless - no shame in losing to a #1. Just need to work harder at becoming one ourselves.

Last time South Carolina eliminated OSU in the post season, the Beavers reached the Final Four two years later.

South Carolina plays pretty good defense and is way more athletic throughout the roster than Oregon State. This is not something new. The Beavers are almost always deficient as far as speed and quickness when it comes to matching up with the more elite programs. Rueck has done a great job of recruiting players that fit his system, but too often winds up with players at the point that seem to fit better as 2 guards, with the exception of Slocum, and we all know how that panned out. I like the potential of Goforth and Samuel, both of whom seem to be able to hang with athletes such as the ones at South Carolina (and Gardiner seems to be a great get for the future). But I'm not convinced they have anyone who can step in at the point in the near future and handle teams like South Carolina or Stanford. Yeah, they're No. 1 seeds, but isn't that the level to strive for?
