And where, pray tell, is that alwayssomecolororwhatever? Has he not guts to show up? Guess not! BTW, Roman Silva was a STUD today! 8 for 8 is a pretty good FG%. His play at the post was on another level! A huge key to our success.

So if I'm doing my math right, WT is only two (official) NCAA Tournament wins at OSU behind Ralph? I'm starting to really like this guy.

The tournament was tougher in RM's day, before it expanded to 64. Had a bye instead of that easy 1-16 first game.

Lots of Tennessee fans, judging from their board. As bad as it is to go through tough times (28 straight losing seasons in football anyone?), there is NOTHING like having your team do great things when it is utterly and completely unexpected. It's not fun being the favorite and losing, as Tennessee fans will tell you today, likely giving OSU nearly no credit in their anger. It's not even all that fun to be a big favorite and WIN. But to be the underdog, the overlooked team, the joke, the discounted afterthought, the formality, the homecoming game and then WIN? There is nothing like it and I'm OK with going through the bad to get to the extra, extra good. I know that's crazy to a lot of people, but if sports is about entertainment and lifting your spirits, then there is nothing like winning when you absolutely are not expected to for sheer entertainment and joy! Mike-- You always have the bests posts, through at least two boards now.

Yes, one-and-done freshmen often lead their teams to NCAA championships. Anthony Davis and Carmelo Anthony are the two that have done it. And Chris Webber came awfully close...too bad Michigan was out of timeouts. That was a great NC game.

Mike Bibby was a 2 and done player that did lead his team to a Championship as a Fr.

Duke had several one and doners that were critical to their last Championship.

Duke had several one and doners that were critical to their last Championship. Duke is duke. They’re on TV more than Leave It To Beava... re-runs.

Ralph Miller's two wins in 1982 were later vacated.
Unofficially:
Slats Gill 8 Ralph Miller 3 Wayne Tinkle 1 Paul Valenti 1

I may have missed it. Did the Tennessee fan come back and congratulate the Beavs?

I may have missed it. Did the Tennessee fan come back and congratulate the Beavs? Not that I have seen. He said he "might" be back I believe. He also said he would root for the Beavers the rest of the way. Not sure how we can be sure of that though. lol
