UCLA should be in, and thanking OSU for making their tourney loss a Quad 2. My random guess is the Beavs get an 11 seed - which would be a very winnable sub-regional against a 6-seed, and a potential 2nd round against the 3 v. 14 winner. Even with a 12 seed, the bracket puts it against a 5, then the 4 v. 13 winner - not too bad either. Until tonight, Colorado was looking at a 3 seed, so what we should be saying'.... The Beavs have a shot! I like the Beavs in the 10 thru 12 bracket a lot better than an 8 or 9 seed vs. the Gonzagas of the world in the 2nd round! Ive lived in Spokane for 30 years and Gonzaga has become my 2nd favorite team.. I wouldnt mind seeing my 2 favorite teams go at it in the Sweet 16. Fixed it

Agree - ESPN has us against #5 Creighton right now, who just got smoked by the big underdog Georgetown, and I'd really like our chances there, and a 2nd round against Liberty/W. Virginia isn't real scary either. This team is playing well and with house money, nobody is going to be excited about playing them. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology?src=rssI agree. That would be a pretty good draw. It looks better than say Georgetown or Winthrop's draw in that bracket.

Would love to see more of this play; WA's defender cannot hedge the 3pt shooter with this threat in play, as it's a guaranteed bucket. But not hedging the 3 point shooter coming on the high screen threat means our guards can get open looks. Really hard to actually do this play well, but it's unstoppable when it is. Many times players will trap dribble in situations like that but WA kept it and viola! Such a great play by him.

Was a great game. Kudos to Colorado they really did enough to normally win. They missed some free throws. We played from ahead almost the whole game. We responded and I could not be happier at that group of guys. Listening to Walton was funny as well. He seemed to be rooting for us. Very fun tournament. Cherish it folks. Hard very hard to do.

Ok beavers we've had a few hours to sleep on it although some of you may still be drinking lets play Athletic Director. Do you give tinkle say a 2 or 3 year extension now or see what happens next year?

You are correct..OSU only trailed twice.. early in the 1st Half and early in the 2nd Half.. for a total of 2:47..

Ok beavers we've had a few hours to sleep on it although some of you may still be drinking lets play Athletic Director. Do you give tinkle say a 2 or 3 year extension now or see what happens next year? Nope. Not sure what his contract status is but he has at least two years left. That's plenty. You (or I, if AD) never want to get stuck with a long-term deal you can't get out of when things go south, as they invariably do for 90% of coaches. Pay him fairly, but no long-term extensions.

Caught fire at the right time ... Also, at some point ( maybe after the first big Colorado loss ), WT started to really coach. 1) The game prep was far better 2) WT's demeanor on the sideline and in game coaching became a key to the rest of the season 3) The kids really started pulling together and playing for each other - especially on the Defensive side of the ball, which led to a more active and engaged offense Everyone involved with, and on the team, contributed to the synergistic dynamics Winning any of the Conference Tournaments is VERY DIFFICULT... it is compressed pressure in a short series, with little room for error and a lot of intense ( tourney level ), play from each competitor ! This WILL pay Dividends with Wayne's future squads. Yes, there will be disappointments too - but, it won't be because they did not actually compete like they now know they can ! Go Beavers - keep on rolling !

How would you feel if you just gave perhaps the performance of your lifetime and your employer did nothing to recognize it? I’d be out of here so fast! We’ve got to reward his accomplishment.
