Graves is creating an even bigger problem for himself than he had this year ! Arizona will be the class of the PAC , We will be a year away ! Graves has a couple of 'negative impact ego's' on that team ! They should be use to it when they had Campbell who left and Ionescu who graduated. The princess that wont make it in the WNBA.

That is correct - you see this very often and there are multiple examples - What happened to OSU BASKETBALL WHEN Ralph Miller retired ? What is happening to OSU baseball - since Pat Casey retired ? What happened to our Wrestling team when Dale Thomas retired? These are just OSU specific examples ! Our wrestling program improved immeasurably after Dale Thomas retired. Coaches Johnson and Wells far exceeded anything Thomas had done in his last decade as coach.

Okay - put him in the ‘coach’ that years later - still has not been replaced ! But, Pendleton may be doing so ! Yet to see a full season or two of recruiting, teaching and winning !

And the arc of Wells career at OSU was not as good as Thomas, no way. How many ways would you like me to prove that wrong? Cherry picking a couple of years you can prove anyone is a bad coach vs joe blow coach just about.

Good points. I believe in womens college basketball we have yet to see a program successfully transition after the retirement or otherwise leaving of a legendary coach. We'll soon get a couple more opportunities w/ Geno and Tara (as well as Mulkey changing jobs--what will happen now at Baylor?). Have to consider though that wcbb has a relatively short history. While it's still obviously hard to follow a legend in men's bb, some programs have remained powerhouses over many many decades and multiple coaches. There might be a lull for a while, but they keep coming back. So is there anyone here that thinks UCONN will be UCONN after Geno retires. Evey fan base , even the UCONN snobs think it will be business as usual when a coach retires. Even in Pro sports dynasties come and go.
Geno is UCONN. Nothing else to draw them there. Arena? Fan base, weather? No, no and no!
What is really so great about playing at UCONN? Cant say it is their conference.
Is like the kid who buys Nikes just because they are Nikes?

Cherry picking a couple of years you can prove anyone is a bad coach vs joe blow coach just about. At one point in his career Dale Thomas was an outstanding coach, with an outstanding program. By the end he was a bitter old man who could no longer recruit, was very out of touch with the players of his generation and had stayed too long at the fair, to the detriment of our program. It is impossible to deny our program got better when he quit. We did not score a point at the NCAA meet in Dale Thomas's last two years as OSU coach. We did not have a top-10 NCAA finish in any of his final nine years as OSU's coach. Wells eventually ran out of steam but he had four top-10 NCAA finishes in his first five seasons.

Either Taylor Chavez (Arizona) or Maddie Scheer (oregon) are going to be losing a lot of playing time. Endyia has up to three years available, if she chooses oregon, will Maddie stick around? If she wants to play a lot of minutes, it probably wouldn't happen as oregon is also adding Bigby to the guard pool.

Hmm, Ducks are raiding the community colleges for players now. CHANAYA PINTO out of Florida, but she is a 2nd team all-american....in the CC ranks. Now if she were 6'8" it would be a different story!! 😉😎

Scott will snag a couple really big big names out there that will put anything they have gotten out of the portal to shame. Just wait and see what he has in the works.

What big names are even left in the portal? Can't really think of anybody major off the top of my head (except Endiya, who is not in play for OSU).

I'm good with that.
