But Tres is not that "great" player. He's not on an NBA roster. Heard Don McLean on the radio last year or before. He said he's UCLA'S all time leading scorer but nobody thinks he may be their best player. Donny Mac-Never saw a shot he didn't like! You spelled Jordan Lucas wrong

All time leading scorer with a losing Pac 12 record could be viewed as player and coach not focussed on teamwork and winning. We keep hearing how one great player can turn a team around. But we just got a scoring record. That's a lousy consolation prize as a fan. Tres went 31 and 36 in Pac 12 play, not great, but considering (with the possible exception of Ethan), that's the best Pac 12 record a single player has had here since the Gary Payton left 31 years ago I'd have a tough time knocking him. Brent Barry, who had a decent NBA career, went 8 and 28 in Pac 12 games his final 2 seasons, managed 9 and 9 in his "best year" if Pac 12 wins are how you measure a player's ability.

If that's the case, "we" already had a scoring record, one that I was quite happy with, because it was by some guy named Gary f%#*ing Payton. It's a crying shame to me that Tres Tinkle is now OSU's all-time leading scorer. First world problem. Have a good cry

Just put an asterisk next to Tres' number. It works in the Majors.

If GP doesn't lose to two double-digit seeds in the postseason as an upperclassman, he gets his 122 games as well.

I will put it this way. Gary Payton would run circles around any player that has donned a beaver uniform since he left. If he had been on the team in the last four years including this year the beavs would have been to the big dance each year.

Gary Payton as a college player. Is that better?
