If you are talking about home games, the answer is no. That is quite simply asinine. Someone should sue on the grounds that the rule is arbitrary and capricious. And they should sue in Utah, if possible. Your fly is open............... Go Beavs!!

Hell, I love sitting in Goss as much as anybody, but dammit, last year we lost our season to the virus and I don't want anything to jeopardize this season! Clear out the who freakin' campus, I don't care. I just need my Beaver baseball. This is not the governor - she is listening to the docs and such, and Oregon is doing an excellent job compared to almost all of the country in keeping our cases down. What this is, is Oregon State University having the most intensive testing regime in the entire world, it seems like. When they are testing about 4% of the county population, and 80% of the county cases are coming from their test results (give or take a few because no one wants to admit just how many of the positive tests come from OSU vs the rest of the 19-29 year olds in the county), that tells you two things. 1. The actual cases in the state have been much higher that test reports, mainly due to so many asymptomatic cases or cases that are so weak that people don't get tested. 2. The 19-29 year old age group has the least willingness to control their behavior in ways that limit the spread of the illness amongst their cohort. If the rest of the county was as willing as my age group to do what is asked, we'd be near the bottom in the state, not at the top. It's extremely frustrating, but thankfully Linn County is just a few miles away. How about we make a field of dreams type of ball field on some farmers field complete with corn and the whole works in Linn County. We could just drive in, watch the games from our cars. Absent that, how about the top of the parking garage with a jumbotron? There are a million ways to do this, but the easiest is to just tell fans and players families to go to hell. Pissing off the season ticket holders is one thing, but having a situation where parents of OSU kids do not get to watch the game but 40 miles down the road PK park is hosting people would not be good.

Yes, because the parents shouldn’t care that 500k people in the US have died. That should only care about watching their kids play a game.

That's like saying that you can only love one of your children. It is a little known fact that you can care about more than one thing at once...........apparently.

That’s nothing like what I said. Maybe you should care about humanity in general. Oh, wow! An ad hominem attack fallacy, which is in and of itself a non sequitur, all in order to validate an original asinine non sequitur fallacy. Logical fallacies upon logical fallacies! At some point, you will have to stop digging. You cannot validate your point by bringing in a completely unrelated fact or assertion. Maybe I should care about humanity in general, or maybe I am Mother Teresa on this board. Either is equally probable, as is a host of possibilities between the two extremes. However, none follows from this discussion nor adds from your point or subtracts from any of the previous points with which you disagree. My response is, "I love everyone. Maybe you should floss more." Discuss the point honestly and logically or, at least, quit flinging stones/changing the subject.

Like filing a lawsuit against the conference in Utah? You’re the last one that should bring up logic.

(The NCAA is headquartered in Indiana, so lawsuits involving both a conference and the NCAA often end up there.) A member university of the Pac-12 is the University of Utah. Anyone can sue the Pac-12 pretty much anywhere. However, yeah, I am illogical for suggesting that you can sue in the State of Utah, where the University of Utah is located, a Pac-12 member institution.

Actually, if it's a federal suit it can be filed in any federal district court.

No, you’re illogical for thinking that a Federal Court in Utah is going to override the decisions in other states about people attending a baseball game. Besides, by the time it got through the system, the season would be over. But, go ahead.

All this bickering about attending baseball games. Should be more of a concern that the Governor will even let people attend football games this fall. Whatever the 10 other schools decide to do in the other states rest assured the state of Oregon will be the last to follow.

She won’t let us attend baseball games. And she might not let us go to football games. But the other kids are doing it. It’s not fair! She’s so mean! I’m gonna go tell on her! You guys should really listen to yourselves.

I also recognize that this last year has been impossible..
