Love having Missy Barlow reffing our game. Maybe some of you have been around as long as I have remember an equally bad ref by the name of Wanda Szeremeta. Thankfully she's no longer around. Can't wait for Barlow to hang up the whistle. As much as I like Taya, I don't think she's playing her best ball. I'd go Goodman, van Oelhoffen, Goforth, Mack and Jones. Mack is starting to get scrappy and drive into the paint regardless of any contact she might receive. I like that! It forces the officials to start calling fouls against the defense.

This game is for the taking. Osborne's volume shooting is off today. Ill-advised close contest at the end of the half by Corosdale.
Beavs led by 14 last season at Pauley in the third quarter before the Bruins rallied for the win. This will be a crucial third quarter for the Beavs.
I like OSU's chances if Jones can avoid her third foul during the third quarter and the OSU guards look more frequently to get the ball inside to her.
I like a lot about what TVO brings to the floor. One thing I don't like about her game now is that she often slowly jogs back on defense after making a turnover and/or missing a shot. Not a good look. Her trailing of the ball on a fastbreak the other way puts more pressure on OSU's team defense than is necessary. Would expect more hustle out of her as her game matures.

Some halftime thoughts:
- Good halves from Talia, Goodman, and Jones. Talia needs to get a little stronger finishing, but she's been really solid. Would have loved for her to get the inbounds layup.
- Jelena didn't do great on defense, but she was working hard rebounding. She'll continue to get better as she conditions and gets stronger.
- Sasha was also pretty solid. She was noticeably more aggressive on rebounds I thought.
- Still need more from Mack and Corosdale. Usually both are neutral, but Corosdale has been a negative today with her missing layups, a bad turnover, and then giving up three free points.

Jelena making a good contribution in her 10 minutes so far. Her presence has altered multiple UCLA shots and decisions not to shoot.

Mitrovic is going to be a factor once she figures out how to post up. Several times she she just couldn't establish position against switches.
Can the Beavs can play four quarters of good ball and pull this out?

Better hope UCLA doesn't find their shooting touch. Only being ahead by 5 at halftime with UCLA shooting 25% in the first half isn't a good sign.

Did you see that blatant push in the back by Miller on Mitrovic, RIGHT in front of the ref, no call. Good grief they've been awful today.
