lost 63-61 , caught up and then choked twice on offense . They are getting their shots back and are playing better D - but , no confidence at crucial parts of the game . They were behind by 15 at one point !

Ugly game. No fouls shots in the first half. More jump balls than I've ever seen. schmucks resorted to an asu/usc type game. Basically a melissa barlow refereed game

Basically a melissa barlow refereed game I have always been amazed at how quickly they call jump balls in the women's game. It frequently seems like it's almost an anticipated call, a decision made by a referee while one player's hands are just about to touch the ball. That may be an exaggeration, but not much of one. Stanford is a very, very good team, and they've overcome a lot to get where they are today. I like their chances to win it all.

Basically a melissa barlow refereed game Right after the game, during Sportscenter, one of the hosts said something pretty close to "You basically could've hit somebody over the head with a hammer for 3 quarters without a foul being called." At least they weren't calling fouls on either team, but it was ludicrous. Sabally should've fouled out by halftime, she had either 1 or 0 called on her at that point. There wasn't a single FT attempted until 2:35 in Q3.

You know UCLA is going to be physical and they will get away with it next weekend too.

For supposedly being better than big sis I just don't see it. Yeah, I don't see it either. She's stronger and more of a post player than Satou, but she can't put the ball on the floor and attack off the dribble nor shoot the 3 like big sis. Nowhere near as skilled overall. Another case of hyperbole that was unwarranted. Really unfair to Nyara, set her up to disappoint.

IDK, do refs come into games with preconceived notions about teams? If someone is known for being physical and aggressive, they let you get away with it, but if it's not your M.O. then you get no leeway?

Goforth looked to have borrowed the push off from Ionescu last game. We were somewhat fortunate they didn’t call it a few more times (I think only once).
If I’m reading the stats right, we are the beneficiaries of the most foul calls in the Pac-12 at 19.5/game.

Unlike their Arizona games, where they seemed ready to load the bus at the end of the first and mid-way through the third with their body language, they were able to fight back and hit some threes.

During the last 3 or 4 minutes of the first half Oregon picked up the pace of their game considerably - they played defense more aggressively, and played faster both offensively and defensively.... And it helped considerably....Their BIGGEST plus in keeping this game close, and almost pulling it out, is that they had 6 different players hit 3s. That's impressive for any team.
Right now Graves is facing a problem similar to Rueck, they both have teams where the whole is less than the sum of its parts. I know a lot of people like to hammer the Ducks -no problem - but right now they have a ton of talent on their roster, they have 3 or 4 Frosh who are going to be top line players next year, and right now they are so far ahead of the Beavs it's somewhere between embarrassing and discouraging.
Coach has recruited 5 or 6 players who don't contribute. It's tough to make a case that defends that kind of recruiting...And recruiting is the lifeline of every team that aspires to a top 3 finish in the conference.
At any rate, I'm pretty much locked into waiting for next year and hope things take a big turn for the better....
The other day I asked the board to list 3 things this year's team does well. No one replied. Including myself - because I can't come up with 3 things they do well - and by "well" I mean top 3 in the conference well. GO BEAVS!!

Call it sarcasm: BTW, we gave up.
