Rough at times, really pretty in spurts. Really nice win, especially when it was Buffs out of gas late in Boulder.

I thought they might play the whole game without shooting a free throw. Came close, have they ever done that?

Won the boards 34-24 and points in the paint 32-22. 55% shooting from the field to 42% for CU.

I will take a win any time. TVO is definitely for real. Helps Goodman a lot. On another note, I didn't think Jelena could walk and talk at the same time the first time I saw her. Her improvement amazes me. Hands usually don't improve as quickly as her hands have.

Jones was pretty much nonexistent. Mitrovic gave some good minutes. 8 pts on 4-4 shooting.
Goodman finished w/ 21, Mack 15, TVO 13.
Colorado had 4 in double figures to OSU's 3, but basically no other Buffs scored at all.

TVO is definitely for real. Helps Goodman a lot. TVO needs to be starting. Mack or Corosdale to the bench, pick one. That lineup doesn't work, it's time to make the change.

Every win is a great win. This year is a transition year for future long runs in the tournament going forward.

Jelena needs more minutes too! She was very impressive tonight. Made two jumpers, some nice passes. Picked up a loose ball and layed it in (remember our other 6'9" center who couldn't). I'm so impressed with Jelena, and, I'm certain that is why Taylor played very few minutes. When we have Jelena, Kennedy, Taylor available, coaches will have a lot of flexibility with their bigs.

Scott is still mixing and matching, but his lineups tonight worked as he wanted. At the end of the game it was the Buffs who were huffing and puffing, not the Beavs. I've seen a lot of improvement with the chemistry the last three games. Getting Talia was huge. MB.

So...this game had a combined 10 FTs in 40 minutes. Meanwhile over at Pauley, in the first 20 minutes UCLA and ASU have combined for 35. Both teams hovering around 30% shooting from the floor. I turned it on for a minute, but I don't think I'll bother watching that slugfest.

TVO is a real difference maker. She is a natural point guard with her court vision, passing skills, ball handling, coolness under pressure, and ability to hit deep 3s or drive and finish at the hoop. Beavs finally have the PG they have been lacking.

Late in the game, it seemed like Rueck alternated between this two-deep chart: PG: Goodman/von Oelhoffen SG: von Oelhoffen/Goforth SF: Goforth/Simmons PF: Corosdale/Mack C: Jones/Mitrovic
Mack looks so much more comfortable at the four than the three, was nice to see her hitting her three pointers and finally starting to look like the player that many of us had expected after seeing her film while at Bucknell.
Jelena has definitely made some strides. She's more patient and is getting to more balls. Nice to think that we'll have the post tandem of she and Jones for two more years after this one.
