Maybe they play to the level of the competition? Love the argument that the team that just clobbered us is not very good. How bad is our team then? Hard to believe that our men’s team may be better than the women. No one said they were bad or not very good but are the as good as some as Scott's better teams. Not even close! ..... And they are upper pac-12 this year. Make you a gentlemens bet that Arizona won't make it to the elite 8 this year. Maybe what you meant to point out is just how bad we are. We are staring at a 9th or 10th place finish when all is said and done |

Maybe it is just me but I am not impressed with this veteran Arizona team. Even though they have a good record they are not ready for March madness play. They don't play four quarters and I am not sure if they would go that far post season. I am beginning to wonder that besides Stanford the rest of the Pac-12 is way down this year. Definitely feel like the conference is down a little from pre-season hype. What is your take? Did you see Stanford today?
I tend to agree, I think the level of play is a bit down this year. Blame covid, weird scheduling issues, whatever, but not seeing a whole lot of consistent high level hoops being played. I don't think it's just the Pac 12, I think it's everybody.
I think the top 3 teams from last year would wipe the floor w/ anyone this year. Maybe even add in Maryland and make it 4 from last season.

Any explanation why Simmons isn’t playing more. Did I miss something? She played 7 minutes and went 0-0. Why only 7 minutes? |

She played 7 minutes and went 0-0. Why only 7 minutes? Good question. She has played well when playing this year. Maybe issues with covid. Who knows. If she could have been used more, I think it was a mistake not to use her considering how the game went. |

Couple things outside of ruecks hands. Brown was a big contributer. Another huge loss.
We lost three high profile girls .
Things Rueck made bad choices on. Recruiting not just big kids but real big kids. Kinda let the speed of the game get away from him.he really needs the next three recruiting groups. Has some good player's in those groups. Hope he doesn't get some defections but it could happen. He really could have used getting Caitlin Clark to come out here. I almost think Brown made Jones so good last year not Jones by herself. We will lose Go forth if he forces her to point. One mans opinion.

No Subasic today. Is she injured, or just coaches decision? I'm kinda feeling bad for her, doesn't seem to have a role w/ OSU, maybe made a bad choice on where to grad transfer to.

We have a lot of players who would be great at the 3/4 positions playing the 1/2 positions, unfortunately.
I don’t necessarily think a lack of athletes is an issue (or else Rueck’s teams would always finish at the bottom), but I do think a lack of creators is. Aside from Goodman, everyone’s ball handling seems shaky (Goforth’s is probably the second best). While Mikayla and Destiny were exceptional athletes, Jaime and Syd were not (at least IMO).
Teams make it difficult to get it inside to Jones, so she doesn’t get enough FGA.
On the plus side, I think/hope Greta and Talia will be better creators, so those two should be big boosts. Totally agree that it would be nice to get an Aari McDonald/Kiana Williams type PG, but Rueck seems to have given up on recruiting them.

Also are we being out recruited as badly as the wins and losses from last year and this year would indicate?

Washington is shut down currently but hopefully will be cleared soon. Gotta catch some games against those teams, those should be Ws. Colorado and/or Utah on the road are certainly winnable. Otherwise, not sure OSU would be favored against anybody. |
