Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things, but von Oelhoffen and Juliana Walker from Tacoma both had a very good chance of breaking the Washington girls high school career scoring record that Van Lith just set last year. Of course if there is no season that won't happen.

Wow! wouldn't that be something to have a talented (high school age) PG just 'arrive' on campus, in Jan. 2021.....ala DOMINIQUE DARIUS (UCLA Women's Basketball, 2021)....and btw, ala Luke Heimlich (2015). I like this a lot. No matter how the rest of this year goes for the team, she gets through a lot of that freshman learning curve od D1 basketball and Rueck's system without any loss of eligibility. By the time conference play rolls around next January, she'll have almost one full season under her belt. |

Just meant that the source I was using was the school directory (where she now has a complete Oregon State profile). Still no release from school. I would assume she has to quarantine for a period (10 days?), before being able to practice. |

Although this will add depth to the current roster, I don't see this as making a big change to this current team. It's huge for next season though. If Talia is able to get some games under her belt going into next year, that would be great experience.
With experience this year, it will be really interesting to see who may be the starters next season especially if Aleah returns, which I fully expect at this point. I could see Talia and Aleah as your starting guards, Sasha at the wing with Kennedy and Taylor as your bigs. This would leave Jelena, Taya, Jasmine, and Greta as first off the bench. Overall though, I think next season is too hard to predict what players will be here. Everybody on the current team is eligible to return, but who will actually be back is another question. I could see the possibility of some transfers out of the program, and someone like Jovana may decide to play oversees. Who knows? I think personnel for next season may be too hard to predict at this point, but is a bit fun to think about.

A CHS girls basketball roster? A CHS student directory? I can only find a general school directory, but it is doesn't say much about their girls basketball team or roster. And, even if there is some roster somewhere, why would the Chiawana High School include a "complete Oregon State profile" of her? Or, do you mean the brief profile written about her on osubeavers.com dated November 10? This profile has not been updated and says nothing about her joining the team early. |

I'm not sure who runs the OSU Women's Hoop News twitter account (it's not an official OSU account), but they believe Talia is a mid-year enrollee as well.
