Oregon’ s bench....players 6-10 whoever those are would best us 9 out of 10 times. Graves has so much flexibility and depth...it will be hard for the talent he has to get enough playing time. Paopao had 22 but next time they play someone else will have 24 and Paopao will have 6 and they win by 22. I'll say again, Savannah in 23 minutes outscored 34 minutes of the Oregon frosh bench 10 to 6. They played no part in this game.

First time I've seen this year's team and unfortunately I agree with those who said it's a rebuilding year. Just not the level of play we've gotten used to. Best frosh class in years gives me hope that Beavs will be back soon enough. Mitrovic is going to get better and better but her 6' 9" body should be closer to the basket and not launching 3's. Samuel is a great athlete. Like her potential. She is going to be a defensive stopper someday. Goforth looks like a player. Lots to like about the young players including Brown and Jones. Going to be fun to watch them develop.

That was painful. The bright spots in the second half were definitely Savannah and Jelena (except for her 3 point shots). It was impressive to see Savannah, as a Freshman, being so aggressive... driving, rebounding, and blocking one of Boley's shots... against a good quality team. Jelena showed her offensive skills in the paint and was a bit more aggressive tonight. This team, if it can somehow learn to shut down the three point shot and can better live up to the hype about its own three point shooting, could still be pretty good by the end of the season.

Yeah, the Beav's got clobbered. And those four Oregon frosh had nothing to do with it. I like to worry about actual problems, not imaginary ones. Too many of this already.

His point was more or less in response to you noting that they were a team with a bunch of freshmen, though four of them did virtually nothing.

Looks Ike I'm glad I missed this one. Gonna be a long year i guess. Looks like maybe we are gonna be down a year or two.

I didn't watch the game yet, and not sure that I can. It may hurt too much. It does look like it's going to be a down year right now, but let's hope from continued improvement and who knows...
This team will really struggle is Taya can't show more offensively. I thought Mack would be really solid, but that has happened yet either, and her minutes were way down in this one.
I don't think this team will be down a year or two though. Next year looks to be much stronger with Kennedy returning and Taila and Greata coming on board. Their may be a question at point guard, but overall guard play and bigs up front already look better than this version of the Beavs.
I still hope this team gets better though. The freshman are encouraging. Surely Taya or Ellie will step up. Maybe it's time for this team to go a little smaller, and add some speed by starting Savannah or Jasmine at small forward.

I agree with what many are saying about Savannah's play....She was the unheralded freshman recruit but she is a "player".....I like her speed and aggressive play on both offense and defense....some of our other players should take a lesson from her on aggressive play! My oldest daughter--grew up of course as a Beaver---but married an Uck and now lives in Eugene and is an Uck---We always have a small wager on all the Beaver-Uck games....I told her she would have to give me 20 pts if she wanted to wager on this game....She said no way Dad--these games always go down to the wire nip & tuck----I told her I was being generous since I expected the Beav's to lose this game by 30 or more----She didn't take the bet and as it turned out it would have been a push. This was the first OSU women's game in many years in which I felt they had no chance of winning.

I really think this is the way forward. Our starting group seems to be really, really struggling defensively. I think we need to go 3 guards with Taya and Taylor. This season will really show how good of a coach Rueck is. If he can get this team defending again we can be ok, but what we have show so far, we have a LONG way to go.

Boy what has happened to Aleah, missing free throws, hitting the side of the backboard? Two years ago she was all over Ionescu's grill. Taylor Jones looked unstoppable, both bigs from uo couldn't defend her. She must really like playing this rivalry game.
On Oregon, the commentators really sold up Paopao in this game as their big story. The rest of their frosh wasn't too impressive but we didn't really get to see them other than garbage times. Even with that though, their top recruit Parrish does not look that good.
