oregon is just more talented than the Beavers. Players recruited to uo are more ready to play the pac 12 than the Beaver recruits out of the gate.

Playing against a zone defense you always stager your players in the gaps. Like U of O is. If they have a one man front we should be a 2 man front. We are straight up against their players. Be we are not running a motion offense. They will stay in their zone all day it's killing us.
Also our low post never meets the penetration going inside they know this too and are picking us apart inside. Because we may have a player down their but they are not moving to meet penetration.

Consequently they look well coached and we look lost.we have several posts Taylor should be taught to aggressively stop anyone with a clear shot to the basket

This is a good hot team playing a cold slow team. I can't believe that Scott stayed with the zone. This is a weak team and I don't see it getting much better. Hard to believe that Scott actually recruited some of these players. Mitroveck (sp) is really.... Jones has seem to alter her soft high shot for short hard shots. Needs a softer touch and to make quick moves when she receives the ball. This I'm afraid is going to be a long short season. I wish I could understand how the ucks are able to recruit this way. I hate Mark Campbell, but we let him get away. Another thing I dislike is the transferring. Campbell decided to leave on his own. The Beavers offered the same amount of money as oregon was going to give him but he still left. |

Almost always 5 star players beat 3 and 4 star players. Its as simple as that. Graves recruits at a very high level and is able to get them to play for each other and share the ball, which isn't always easy when you have that many high level recruits. |

This could be a very long disappointing year. This is what I’ve been saying, yet Willtalk insinuated that I was an idiot and this team would be better than last year’s team. This is a rebuilding year and the whole league is greatly improved. It will be a difficult road for this team to finish in the upper half of the league. |

This is a rebuilding year and the whole league is greatly improved. It will be a difficult road for this team to finish in the upper half of the league. It might not be THAT hard. Not gonna finish ahead of Stanford or Oregon obviously, probably same with UCLA and Arizona. But that still leaves 2 slots in the top 6. USC is off to an 0-3 conference start without Pili. ASU is always gritty, but not all that talented. Well we saw Utah, so obviously they can't be taken lightly. Cal if absolutely horrid. Colorado, meh. Washington has been curb stomping some teams (Cal, BYU, Portland), but I still think they're fairly bad. Wazzu has only played one game, but somehow managed to win against UW in their season opener. Really only gotta finish ahead of 2 out of the group of USC, ASU and Utah realistically to still be in the top half. |

As much as I hate to say it the schmucks are the best team nike money can buy. In a year or two they could very well be one of the best of all time. As long as graves can keep them together.
Take beaver nation out and there is no home court advantage. I bet it is even hard on the visiting team too.
I think the BEAVS did a decent job against a very talented team that was hot in the first half
