Playing well at Arkansas. Looks about 10 lbs lighter than she did at OSU. Has 10 points at the half and Arkansas up on Baylor at the Half by 2.

There's a reason that Destiny Slocum was a high school McDonald's AA. There's a reason that she was a National D-1 freshman of the year. She was a helluva talent at OSU, but somehow didn't 100% 'click' with the Rueck game. I give her huge kudos for a.) sitting a full season on our bench...but always willing to be a cheer-leader during that year....and b.) giving us two seasons as an elite point-guard (something the program has consistently lacked) to the best of her ability. Nothing but the best wishes to her as she concludes her College career.

Elite point guard is a bit much. Able to score on her own -yes. Run an offense -average. Defend - average. Pass, especially to the post -average. Elite - not yet.

Good thing I wasn't drinking something when I read that or it would have been all over my keyboard. I just remember her throwing a lot of behind the back passes that landed in the front row of seats According to the OSU stats her career percentage from 3 was 28% (17/59).

Vidic is OSU's leader in assists in one game (15), assists per game in a season (8.38) and career assists per game (7.0). So she obviously threw a lot more passes that ended up as baskets than ended up in the front row. So your memory isn't soo hot.
She was a far, far better passer than any of the three players you mention and her assist numbers dwarf theirs. She was not a 3-point shooter, so she wisely took less than one 3-point shot per game. Instead did what a pure point guard does, get the ball in the hands of shooters in position to make baskets.

Yes, we made a tourney....but that was more because of Kostic

Weren't any good? They made the the NCAA tournament in all three of Vidic's years.
Yes, Kostic was the star, just as Wiesner and Hamblin were the stars in Weise's first three years. But Kostic can't score without someone getting her the ball, which Vidic did better than any pure point guard in OSU history. .
