It is great to see Taya out there. She just does everything, much of it doesn't show up on a stat sheet. Subasic did more than the stat sheet would suggest as well. She's more mobile than I remember her being at Wazzu. Yeah, I was impressed by how swiftly she got up and down the court. |

Great to see Simmons playing like a veteran. And Goforth playing (at times) NOT like a Freshman - Easy to see why she's 5-star. Really impressed with her 'sense', her quickness and my goodness her "wingspan" is something to behold.
One thing for sure, Rueck has the most 'pieces' to work with that I can recall him ever having at his disposal. That being illustrated by the fact that his two most experienced players (Goodman and Corosdale) were, at times today, simply filling valuable 'support' roles.

Liked what I saw from Jelena M. Now, MW's tallest player was 6'-1" so they're clearly not a representative test for what we'll face in-conference. But I think she'll be a VERY productive backup for Taylor this season.

Backup....from 2018/19: Grymek starter / backup...mmmmmm. Not to mention the Beavs first ever McD AA as a starting freshman. |

One stat to work on.we had 23 turnovers to other teams 10. They must have tried to play slow down in first half. I don't know?
One other comment Jelena may have never had passing like she will get here. Easy target her and Jones is a nice tandem.

Turnovers: OSU 11 MW 17 Points off Turnovers OSU 23 MW 10 (I believe that's actually a good stat) TOs drive me crazy. I would've been very aware if the Beavs coughed it up 20+ times in the game. Didn't seem particularly problematic to my eye. Several errant passes that had no chance of ending up where they were supposed to, but it wasn't chronic. |
