Looking for a better opportunity.

Hope she finds an opportunity at a mid-major or low-major and gets a lot of minutes. I didn’t really see her role changing a whole lot over the next two years, but with Kennedy out, hopefully Jelena is ready to go.
Down to eight active scholarship players.

This honestly doesn’t surprise me. I do question why so late in the year she did this. Good luck Trish. You’ll do great a nice mid major.

I wish her the best, she will find playing time at a lot of schools - my thought is that she probably had awareness of some interest from a program, so the relatively late jump into the portal.

I suspect that Trish and the staff didn't know if
A- Mitrovic was going to be able to come back.
B- Mitrovic was going to be healthy.
And Trish probably wasn't worried because no team has been able to do much in the way of team activities until now so she hasn't missed anything with another team, and there being very few 6'7" women players wandering around she is mostly going to have to figure out which of the many many offers she will want to take. There are several Pac-12 teams that would have an upgrade with her as their starting center.

This is too bad really. She has great athleticism, but did not fully display this on the court. With Taylor Jones and likely Jelena Mitrovic at the post, she would be third string. Can't blame her for wanting more playing time. She may actually start somewhere if she chooses wisely.

Trish is a better player than many her think. This is too bad. There may not have been room for her to get a lot of minutes as a Beav, but I think she could have helped. Hopefully this means Jelena is talented and ready to go, because otherwise the Beavs are short on bigs with Kennedy out.
I think this may explain the pic without Trish included.

I can see her decision based not just on the coming year but next year. Brown will be back next year and who knows who else. A player Sr year is really important. I think if she gets with the right program she will do well. She still has a lot of upside left to develop and would not really have the chance to do it here. Perhaps she is privy to some other news as well.

I was rooting for her. Her game vs Cal when she rung up 13 pts on 6 for 6 from the field was a very nice moment.

This will be an interesting story when we get to hear more of it.....
I agree with lotrader and others who think that Trish was underrated or undervalued by fans who follow OSU WBB.... From a player's point of view she was in a really tough situation playing behind one of America's best post players - who is not yet even a sophomore. On top of that she was competing for playing time with another post player (Jelena) who probably is Trish's equal (or better) in the OSU system. Finally, she is playing for a coach who wants his post player to be a scorer - not just a stopper, rim protector, or rebounder. As of now, Trish has demonstrated only a very limited offensive repertoire.
On the other hand🏀! - - Trish is athletic, she has good mobility and she has great height. From these traits alone a good coach can get a LOT of mileage. Especially a coach who does not need the post player to be a scorer. That's a lot of coaches. A lot of teams.
Someone earlier wrote that there are several PAC-12 teams where Trish would be a starter, and a serious contributor. I agree with that. Personally, I think Coach is losing a promising talent just when her two years of training at OSU should be bringing her to the cusp of her productivity.
From a coaches point of view, I can't believe she hasn't learned an in-close hook shot after two years of daily training with a premiere staff. But that's a separate topic.
I wish the best of luck to Trish. I like her game and I'm sure a lot of coaches out west think the same. If Taylor incurs an injury or an illness this season there are going to be a lot of fans who wish Trish was available to come off the bench....
Godspeed to you, Trish.... GO BEAVS !!

With the forthcoming transfer of Morris, the Beavs need to add 1-2 more players in order to have some protection against additional injuries. Assuming that some sort of a season will be played in '20-'21, the likelihood that Brown and Aquino will play zero minutes next season and the uncertainty as to whether Tudor will be granted another season really leaves the roster in need of some bolstering.
Thank goodness for the addition of Ellie Mack. Let's truly hope for some good news about Tudor returning and at least one more addition from the portal. If not, any NCAA postseason hosting prospects for the Beavs next season will be severely impacted in the event of a significant injury to a returning player. The Beavs' depth just took another hit.

Don't think she's looking for a better situation. Think she got hum here. Liked her, liked her potential. Hope she gets some satisfaction with her career.

I'm assuming that her decision is based on the idea of Mitrovic being healthy, ready to go, and rated above her by the coaching staff. Trish, Taylor, and Jelena have one thing in common - play the 5 spot, or don't play. None of them could be moved out to play the 4 spot. So Trish was going to only get in during garbage time for her remaining 2 years of eligibility.
Also, she's a very bright student. I don't know whether she's slated to graduate in 3 years, but, with sitting out her transfer year, it's very conceivable she could end up completing a Master's degree by the time she's done playing.
I always enjoyed watching her warm up. It always looked to me that she tried to take each practice shot the same way she'd take it in a game.

Trish, Taylor, and Jelena have one thing in common - play the 5 spot, or don't play. I believe we will see Jelena at both the 4 and the 5 (always with a zone defense when she plays the 4). She has the passing and shooting skills to be effective at the 4 on offense.
