Yep, her dad hired an attorney. If you got the $ you’ve got a good chance.

I've said this plenty of time, but you have to feel bad for Kat. He career was ready to take off and then the injury basically ruined two years. Having her back with this group would lchange everything. This has been in the works for a while, and I think she has a number of points on her side....wrist surgery that kept her back the beginning of herjunior year, the ACL that shortened her junior year and her senior year, her not being at full strength as a senior, not being able to play post season both years, etc. It may not be enough, but hiring an attorney may help.
I personally would love to see her get one more year at full strength. She's such a great person. You hate to see her career end the way it did.
Having Kat return would certainly be a big boost for this upcoming season as well.

YEAH, bugged her about this a couple times. Glad it bore fruit. That makes it sound like I did more than I did. Glad she decided to try.

I don't think I'll hold my breath waiting on this one. What would have changed in the last few months that would cause the NCAA to reverse itself?

COVID-19, the cancellation of the 2020 NCAA basketball tournament by the NCAA, and the growing likelihood that collegiate sports may be postponed further.... to name a few things....

None of those bring anything new to the table. The NCAA tournament was cancelled for everybody, meaning every non-redshirted player at every school last year, from freshman to senior, gets only 3 opportunities to (possibly) play in it. I would think an appeal would need to be based on something unique to Kat's situation, not the entire universe of women's college basketball.

I would think an appeal would need to be based on something unique to Kat's situation, not the entire universe of women's college basketball. Not everybody tore an ACL in 2019 just past the permissible game threshold for receiving a redshirt season and had her season cut short in 2020 based upon the NCAA cancelling the national tourney. If she was close in the eyes of the NCAA with her original appeal, the unprecedented action of the tourney cancellation by the NCAA coupled with how it handled approving additional eligibility for some other sports due to COVID-19 impacts may be enough to move the needle in favor of Tudor. The NCAA doesn't like to have to litigate in these kinds of circumstances. That reality may assist in getting another season for Tudor. We shall see....

I don't know the total argument in Kat's first request, but I believe this appeal will be more all encompassing. I am neither an attorney, nor do I play one on TV, but Kat has a real attorney, and I think they will use every aspect of this case, including the totality of her injuries, total rehab time (which stretched well into last season), while also looking at players in similar situations who did receive the extra year, among other factors.
Normally I'm all about what is best for the team, in this case I'll be more thrilled for Kat if she wins, and what it means for the team is just an added bonus.

Are there similar cases out there that have been successful?
