My feeling is if Kat were to win the appeal...there are two points to consider. 1) Kat may or may not choose to use that year at Oregon State. 2) there is a season in 2020-21.

The only thing I've heard that Kat said is that she wants to play another year for the beavers.

OK. But being that you are running an OSU Beavers message board, can we not agree that our hope is another year of eligibility will be good for Kat, the team(OSU WBB) and OSU fans? No, because she’s not that good. Let it go Kat. Would take a healthy Kat over a lot of players any day! Why say she’s not that good?

Would rather have more versatile players on the roster next year. When healthy, Kat has shown she can shoot, rebound, and defend at a high level. We would of course love to have more versatile players on the roster next year, but there aren’t many available. If Kat returns to sophomore/junior season form, she would be a great addition.

Kat is an extremely good defender, especially in OSU's defensive schemes. Kat is also a solid defensive rebounder. Who in the heck is OSU going to bring in next year in Kat's place that would be a better addition to the OSU WBB Program? Kat has been in the program for 4 years, and, has played with these OSU returners. OSU is not going to get someone in next season that is going to make a greater overall impact than would Kat.

The only thing I've heard that Kat said is that she wants to play another year for the beavers. That is true. A credible source who has spoken to the Tudors stated that Kat's intent is to remain a Beaver and rejoin her returning teammates for what would be her fifth season in Corvallis. Kat is reportedly off crutches and beginning to lightly stride, according to a source who has seen her in Corvallis. The decision from the NCAA is expected within the next week or so. I am certain that the OSU WBB Twitter site will fill Beaver Nation in if and when the good news is granted by the NCAA. Tudor is an elite shooter and very capable of scoring in double figures when healthy. Even if she comes off the bench to spell Goforth, Tudor would add depth to a squad in need of scorers in addition to Jones, Mack, and Goodman.

Judge Smails writes: "She (Kat) is a decent defender, but she’s not quick enough to be an elite defender or create her own shot."
I'm not really sure what you're getting at with your downplaying of Kat as a for real player. She is, and to say otherwise overlooks the fact that she was a key player as a Frosh in the takedown of Baylor and a march to the Elite 8; and her sophomore performance against Oregon where she put together one of the very best offensive games in OSU WBB history. That's right: in OSU WBB history.
Now to say she is not an elite defender is no big criticism...Neither was Destiny, neither is Jaz, Aleah or a few others. Indeed, very few players on most teams are Elite defenders.
To say Kat has trouble creating her own shot is valid, I'd say, but it overlooks the fact that she is probably one of the top 5 3-point shooters in the conference when she is open. She is one of the few players who can extend an opponent's defense simply by checking into the game.
Kat is not a super star, we get it. But to think she is not a big boost to the roster, especially if she comes back healthy, is downright silly. She is proven Pac-12 player, and if we are lucky enough to get another year out of her, she will strengthen an already strong team... GO BEAVS!!

I'll stick with Scott Rueck and his opinion of Kat.

Put me in the pro-Kat camp. As somebody said, who we gonna get to fill a roster spot for next year at this late date who is going to contribute anything close to what she could? Add to that, I just love watching her shot climb up toward the ceiling and then drop in.
