Great news, and I think that would seal the deal on KB redshirting next year. Given the timeline of the injury and subsequent surgery, there wasn't even a minute chance of KB playing next year. It would have been a waste to bring her back late in the year.

Nice article. Thanks for posting. It will be a slap in the face for her going to the Pac-12, but it won't be as big of a jump as going from High School to the Pac. She'll be fine, and should do well in her one season.
Knowing that over 100 schools reached out to her, for just one season of basketball, shows that she definitely has some talent. I'm looking forward to seeing her on the court with the Beavs. If the Beavs can land another good guard, preferably a point, it could be a pretty nice year.

My thoughts. lots of ways to go up front. Taya offensively is a 3 or 4. And 5 defensively. As well, mack is a 3 or 4. Both good rebounders. These two take pressure off of Taylor as 5. We didn't have that last year!
Now that means we make Aleah pg. Probably Goforth the 2. Just hate to see Aleah because she is such a good 2 shot wise, playing pg. It would be great to find another different style then Aleahs, at pg.
Another scenario is mack can hit the 5 really good from the top of key. If we get Trish or the other real tall bigs back next year.Mack can hi/low pass the Heck out of the other teams for easy buckets.
Another thing to realize is metrovich can play inside or at the top. With her height and passing ability she becomes a 4 or 5! Go beavs. Iron this all out in pre season.

Mack is going to be our Draymond Green. Not to worried about Aleah they will get her the ball in sets and I am sure Mack is great at screening and feeding the post down low as well. Team will have to have a group effort bringing the ball up the court in case Aleah is hounded. Team game. Go Beavs!!

Team will have to have a group effort bringing the ball up the court in case Aleah is hounded. Team game. Go Beavs!! If she can handle the ball like Draymond, then we indeed likely can cobble together a PG solution. Having bigs that can handle the ball (KB and Taya qualify this way IMO), makes it impossible to effectively pressure teams in full-court man-to-man, because you can just give it to a big that will usually have a slow-footed defender that cannot stay in front of the big without a big buffer. This is the biggest problem with Aleah IMO - if she has to bring the ball up and set the offense against a very quick defender that can pick her pocket at any moment, it throws her game off. Mik would sometimes relieve this type of pressure from Aleah by coming back and bringing the ball up herself. I could also see Simmons taking on the duty of bringing the ball up the court, and then delivering the ball back to Aleah to set the offense. Bottom line, I believe Aleah can play PG for 30+ minutes effectively IF the team relieve what teams will do to press on the weaker parts of the game. Mack might be able to help both in press break as well as with facilitating the offense from high-post passing.

This looks to be exactly what the graduate transfer program can be at its best. This was a nice high school player who was never going to be considered for good power 5 conference team. So she goes to a lesser league, does everything right, improves her game tremendously, gives the school the 4 years they bargained for, and finds herself with a year of eligibility left. Lo and behold, a national powerhouse with serious depth issues offers her a chance play with the best in her (probably) last year of competitive basketball. Whether she starts or not (would doubt it), this is a pretty neat, pretty cool thing for her. Nice story. With Taya's mobility defensively we can afford to go three bigs to start with. Unless we find someone that is truly outstanding to move Goodman to the 2 position. I think goforth is to good to keep on the bench.Start her from the get go. Help her get used to the college game. Goforth has Pevic,s ability to score from various angles. She is a tweener 2/3 with her height and speed. goforth might be a better rebounder then Pevic cuz she penetrates alot and helps out rebounding! She has Pevic's competitive nature. We are going to just love her!
