Arkansas... mike neighbors recruited her to Washington, now at Arkansas....don’t be surprised if she ends up at Arkansas. Or would she head home and go to Boise St? She decommited from UW while Neighbors was still there. She would've been a Fr. during Plum's Sr. year. If she had wanted to play for Neighbors, then why didn't she stick with her original commitment?

Good. Shes a selfish player always has been. We will be better off. Curious why you have this opinion. She led the team in assists, so it can't be that. And I personally though she wasn't selfish enough, since she was one of the few who could create a shot and our offense often did nothing this year. Maybe you mean something off the court? I personally see her departure (and how the season went) more telling that this staff needs to do some soul searching rather than Destiny herself. She is immensely talented, and even though she led the team in scoring and assists, was under-utilized. For a team that had a lot of holes finding ways to score, not finding ways to use her more to remedy that weakness is troubling. Sometimes coaches get stuck trying to fit a system around players that don't fit, especially when the complexion of that team gets dramatically altered.

Personally when Goodman was hitting three's and Pivec was being Pivec...I liked having Goodman and Pivec in the game in the end. The 2018/2019 season I'm referring to. Just a personal preference...the truth will come out soon.

Thanks. It's not a good look. Somehow every other coach in the country manages to not have to do it throughout games. Throughout games means what? Other coaches aren’t calling plays? Other coaches manage to call plays without their PG turning her back to the defensive player and looking back to the bench. I don't know how they all do it, but somehow they do. Maybe they just say it loud enough to be heard.

Good. Shes a selfish player always has been. We will be better off. After Goodman disappeared in about half of the games in the '19-'20 season, I'm not feeling all that great about her being the only returning guard with much experience (I know Simmons has been part of the rotation but she's never logged big minutes and has never been a primary ball handler/play maker). The last 2 years OSU has had between 3-4 players who have spent some time playing PG. Now they have 1. That won't cut it. You're math isn't really working here on the addition by subtraction thing. Aleah didn't just disappear for no reason. Look at the 2nd half vs 1st half of the season. More than one player can be effected by chemistry issues.

Not making accusations, and I'm not inside, but chemistry is very important to Scott both on the court and off. Maybe the team chemistry wasn't there with everyone on that team this year and last. Just because your talented doesn't make you a good fit...pure speculating.

I was incorrect on three transfers , as Baseball pointed out . I should have said third school ! Anyway - she was solid and will be missed and hard to replace . I liked her game and she was pretty clutch when it counted . At the same time , you could tell she was not happy with the absences from the court during some key parts of the games. All we can do is wish her the best, and hope that we can recruit a transfer that can contribute in the same way !

She was AWOL for about half of the non conference. She had a handful of good games during Pac 12 play but was very inconsistent.

I see things from the coaches point of view more than some on this board, but my view of Goodman's "slump" (so to speak) this season, especially against the better teams, was due to a simple fact of coaching. It took one year of evidence for opposing coaches to become convinced that Goodman was worth shadowing, playing in her jersey. This strategy proved very effective for the simple reason that Goodman could not beat her check off the dribble. So pretty much all coaches followed the idea. They had already made the same adjustment with Tudor.
The coaches with athletic, aggressive defenders with speed (all the top 4 in the conference) put them on Aleah and she paid a price. A predictable one. She's a great shooter, and will be for a long time. But she has real trouble handling in your face defenders.
At least, that's how I see it. GO BEAVS !!

If you want my opinion...which I know you didn't ask for...I think as far as Destiny goes, her feeling is "I'm a potential WNBA player...and the system here is too controlling for me to show what I can exhibit to WNBA scouts."

That seems very plausible from someone who is closer than most to the program

SR is old school and likes to play at a deliberate pace and run more set plays then most programs. It has well during his tenure but I think it would benefit recruiting if we opened up the offense and ran more.
