We must have several here that inhabit multiple message boards... seen UConn, ND, Louisville, uck, now Furd posts mentioned. And a Furd guy who obviously comes here that had to defend a poke at their nerdy/geek site. Better than uck hate BS, but what's next after a month of no sports? Yikes. Like recruits... wait til they actually sign. With the portal, wait til they are posted and new school picked. Anyone know the official rules of the portal? Players go thru the NCAA? Their AD? If entered can they return to their own school if eligible to do so/school wants them back? Does entering mean a school doesn't have to take them back? You are one of our probably many posters who posts on multiple boards. You were also mentioning posts from the CardBoard yesterday. There were dozens of signs that helped confirm your posts on the CardBoard. Expect more "uck hate BS" we're rivals and this is an OSU board. If you're looking for somewhere with less "uck hate BS" you may want to direct your attention to uck boards. Many of us here are just trying to spark conversation, so that may include "uck hate BS", transfer and recruiting talk, etc. a player can remove his/her name from the portal and remain at the same school. At this point, though, other programs are permitted to contact a player without receiving permission from his/her current program. NCAA bylaws also permit schools to pull a portal entrant’s scholarship at the end of the semester in which he/she entered it.

blodgettbeaver writes: "Looks like Holly Winterburn has thrown her hat in the ring. Good fit for us?" I would rate her the least valuable of the Oregon guards..With their exceptional in-coming talent she likely saw her floor time dwindling away. The guard on their current roster that would most help the Beavs, in my opinion, is the Aussie, Jaz Shelly. I like everything I've seen from her.... GO BEAVS !! At best she would be behind Shelley, Chavez, Paopao and a couple of other incoming freshmen with her 3 point average per game. Say what you want but I don't think the skill level in the United Kingdom is on par with the rest of Europe or with the USA for that matter. Some kids just want playing time.
Winterburn would fit well at a St Marys or Long Beach State level of team, just my own opinion.

Agree she would probably be a very good player on a MM team, and I also think she could be impactful at a lower level P5 school (think Washington and UW). Probably a similar case to Taylor Kalmer.

Washington has a glut of perimeter players and keeps adding more (they have verbals from 3 guards from the '21 class). Of course the talent level at UW is lower than at UO, but she'd be vying for playing time w/ a BUNCH of players, and Coach Wynn likes spreading minutes around.

With FIFTEEN scholarships available, it should never be necessary to run a player off to make room. Rueck usually keeps about 12 on the roster and has always had a schollie available for a late commitment (like Jelena). I don't think that's unusual. But I don't think that Graves ran anyone off his roster, per se. I just think his personality doesn't wear all that well, and when things aren't going well for a player he doesn't give them much reason to stay. On the bench he often crosses the line from being constructively critical to being insulting. I don't know what he's like in practice, but my bet is he's worse. If you are an all-star, you'll never take the brunt of that, but it has to be pretty deflating for a player who is struggling. I stayed in line waiting to get into the Civil War with a woman who played for Graves at Saint Mary's and her mother. They had duck gear on and said they follow him no matter what college. They gushed over him and how he treated all his players. Only first hand knowledge I have to reference. Several of the players who left uo a few years ago would not be so kind.

Never seen a group of public posts that disparages Graves treatment of players. But, being displaced because better players are ahead coming in might cause hard feelings. And, as we all know hard feelings can be expressed in many ways. Kind of hard to believe with the word of mouth and social media that top recruits keep showing up in his program if it's so bad.

It's just fine if you are one of the top seven players. And what high school star thinks they aren't going to be one of the top seven players? I'd be moderately surprised if Cochrane doesn't head out the door also with Dugalic, Prince and Sabally looking for minutes next year. If she doesn't she's actually here for an education, imagine that!

Destiny just announced as transfering. The horror. That does not happen to a Rueck team. He probably ran her off.
