The sucks will do whatever it takes to make room for a better player ... there is only a one way ticket on loyalty to the program, and that is from the player to the program - not the program to the player !

Given the above facts, why in the world would anyone find it surprising that Oregon is an attractive destination for transfers?
I think what bothers most of us on this board isn't that Graves is getting transfers. It's that he's poaching them from within the conference. There aren't a lot of examples around the country of transfers happening within a conference - I found three this year so far, and none of them high-profile situations.
Graves and the UO is just taking college sports one step closer to being just like the pros, where players show as much loyalty as a stockbroker during a margin call. And that rubs a lot of us the wrong way.

Stanford needs to return the favor .. or maybe we can ? There are going to be some unhappy recruits and veterans in that program. Why put your future in the hands of a guy that will drop you, or your playing time, in a heartbeat . Will be very interesting to see how Scott handles the 2020/2021 roster and their expectations. Considering extra recuperation time , maybe Kennedy does not have to redshirt and the other girls injuries are healed and they have more rehab time and court work. Would love to see Greta and company get their two buddies to join them. Also hoping Destiny stays. I can't see her moving to another program, because it's like starting all over again and she would decrease her pro prospects . Link the foregoing with one high impact defensive and offensive transfer or grad transfer, plus having Andrea, Jelena and Taya back at it, at full strength. Pretty potent for 2021, for sure ! Destiny would have graduated !

Wow... "poaching"? So somehow Graves is manipulating the minds of Pac12 transfers (only one to date right?). If I'm not mistaken once in the portal (or Grad transfer) it's just like recruiting a Frosh, and the player makes the call. Sounds like attractive program with the right programs (Grad degree when appropriate) has an advantage. It's the rules. How is that poaching anymore than "beating out" someone for a recruit. The uck hate, jealousy, envy, BS is amazing, particularly on this board.

What are the swamp chickens spiking the Koolaid with that these players want to play for Oregon so badly? Or, is it a secret Nike contract...I mean wardrobe? Or, Graves' mesmerizing sweet talk and his big soft eyes?
1. Graves has proven himself to be one of the top coaches in the country, and is continuing to assemble one of the most talented rosters in the country, so players know they will at least have a fighting chance to compete for National Championships at Oregon.
2. Graves has coached the most prolific offense in the country for multiple years running. His system is very fun, high scoring and player friendly. There are virtually no players in the country that wouldn't love to play in it.
3. There is no other women's basketball program in the country right now that gets as much fan support, social media attention and overall media attention in general as the Oregon Ducks do.
4. The facilities at Oregon are unmatched. Their uniforms/gear/swag are unmatched. Virtually every aspect of the program is the very best money can buy.
Given the above facts, why in the world would anyone find it surprising that Oregon is an attractive destination for transfers? 1. Fighting chance for the National Championship? They haven't even played in the NC game. They have the same chances as the other top 20 teams in the country. 2. In the past 3 years Oregon has gotten one top ten recruit. It seems to me that 29 out of the top 30 players in the country disagreed with your assessment on how many want to play at Oregon. 3. Ionescu gets all of that attention. UO gets some reflection of that glory, lets see how long it lasts. And in general University of South Carolina is still #1 in attendance. 4. Facilities are unmatched? Sorry, but no. And since shoes are the top swag these days, yes, they have the best.

Look, I hate the Ducks as much as anyone here, but, c'mon guys, just because they have a good program and continue to add to it doesn't automatically mean they're doing something wrong. We would of loved to have Carrington so the argument about transfers from within the conference doesn't carry weight. You can't have it both ways. If we can have Carrington than the Ducks can have Carrington. Graves is a smooth talker, he comes across as very likeable. I happen to think that Rueck does too. Rueck runs a much, much more structured offense as opposed to Graves'. Kids do like a free-er flowing offense, both men and women. They score tons of points. It's a different approach than ours but that doesn't make it wrong.
Again, I can't stand the Ducks' success. But, dudes, it's time to not be the wining complainer anymore. It really reeks of "little step-brother". Let's be proud of what we have in a super successful, nationally elite WBB program that is here to stay. We attract and land absolutely top-tier talent. Be grateful we have a coach that will likely spend his entire career here. Rueck has built a beast in Corvallis. There is more than one great WBB coach in the country. Graves is good too. Sure, he was able to enjoy the talents of a generational player in Ionescu (sp?) but, you know what, credit him for not wasting it. They were arguably the best team in the country this year. Kudos to them. Now, let's focus on rooting our girls to get back to the Final 4. We have the talent to do it! We have the coach to do it! Be proud and be class-act fans!!
Go Beavs!

I'd rather be a step brother than a brother of the ducks. At least i Wouldn't be blood related.

Holly Winterburn has entered the Portal Someone call Scott. This is the guard we have been looking for. What do you think?
Apparently she wanted more playing time but did not see it behind Chavez, Shelley and a slew of freshmen.
