Kinda small, but being passed around among Beaver students on social media.

They've closed the social distance a helluva lot more than OSU has. Don't like their gloating about their success, how about stepping up and measuring up. If not, shut up. Tell me, which is better? Building yourself up or tearing someone else down. Dammit, be part of the solution. Yeah, Sage is pretty much pissed off about everything that is going on lately and tearing down people who are trying their best administratively to keep people from dying. Yeah, I woke up. The handshake thing is done. I can wait a couple months. Or more. I am seriously thinking about driving to Idaho so I can to to a tav and buy a beer.

It was just a meme among current students. But don’t you ever wonder how much social distance the Beavs could close if they had that little swoosh mark in their corner instead of the Ducks? Tremendous amounts of money may not fix all the problems, but it sure seems to guarantee you won’t be in the cellar.

Not so different. Yes, Nike pays us to wear their uniforms. The Oklahoma example proves my point. My last sentence says that money doesn't guarantee success but it keeps you out of the cellar. Look at Oklahoma State's record since Gundy took over in 2005. Except for that initial year, the Cowboys have gone to a bowl game EVERY year. And won a majority of those games. And 38% of those years, they finished with 10 or more wins. Sure seems like a long way from a bottom of the league program.

But Nike has far, far, far more cache with 18-22 year old kids than natural gas does. Who gets excited about natural gas swag?

Pickens has given them more money than Phil has given uo From what I could find, Pickens gave $265 mil to Ok St sports, 1 Billion overall. Yes, with a B. Knight had given $245 mil to UofO sports as of 2016, $797 mil total. The big difference? Pickens is dead, and Knight is still alive, estimated to have a $37.6 Bil net worth, and intends to give it all away. There's a trainload of money still coming to UofO, you can bet on that.

That are typically more in the middle.

Other sources say $500 mil. That leaves Knight with a whopping $36.6 Bil advantage. Why do your responses have a snotty tone so often? You seem bitter much of the time.

Perhaps then you wouldn’t respond in such an adversarial manner and instead you would see that we have common ground to stand upon. Why look for the fight? There’s enough crap in the world. Why add to it?
