Barnes' hiring track record at OSU is excellent so far.

I know this country is going through a crisis, but I think it's a great time to hire a new coach. Not a lot of jobs open, and technology will assist us in this hire..skype,etc.

Interesting that no mention whatever is made of the embarrassing mess that ended in Kevin Roberts’ firing, all of which occurred on Zalesky’s watch.

Kolat was my favorite. Took a terrible wrestling program to a national power. Recruits out west. Coach Z had a great wrestling mind, but was a terrible recruiter. A high school wrestling coach and family member told me that many years ago. The problem initially for a new coach will be the heavier weights. A young wrestler wants guys at similar weight who can pound him in the practice room. Only way to get better. Those weights above the bigger Willits are hurting. Crescent Valley doesn't recruit despite what the rumors say. The transfers are guys who really want to improve and eye up Crescent Valley as the place where the guy above you can pound you, the guy in the weight below is tough as nails and, in some cases, the guy at your weight can push you. Families make big sacrifices for their kids to transfer there. It is the same scenario that the Beavers face right now in a lot of weights.
