Nice effort. Holding teams to 53 points and then 51 points is hard work. Guess it's a good thing both Oregon and Utah just missed a lot of open shots, otherwise I might be inclined to think our defense had something to do with it. Apparently not. KK has been playing really solid the last couple games. The usual blocks yes, but altering shots he doesn't get a mitt on and is actually rebounding better as well. Been a good presence offensively too and forcing teams to worry about him which is giving ET, ZR, and JL chances to hit from outside.
If they can beat a pissed off CU team that just got outscored by uo 28-11 down the stretch then we might have something to shout about again. Need a MUCH better crowd than tonight though to help bring some energy. Might have been the worst attended game of the Pac-12 season tonight while coming off a big win against uo in a sellout? What gives? Half the student section left at halftime too.

This team is tempting me to get my hopes up that they can keep this going. I mean, that's two straight well-played games, which they hadn't done previously all conference season long. Maybe, just maybe, they're over the Every-Other-Flu they seem to catch whenever they play well?!

6 o’clock weeknight game is almost always going to be less attended. I noticed the student section as well and wondered if it was a lot of the kids that did the halftime competition.

It’s definitely surpassed “Adley was a kicker on the football team.” Tackled Bryce Love! (Which was actually awesome the first 500 times)

True to some degree sure, but uo played at the same time (granted against a better opponent), and more than doubled our attendance. USC played UW at the same time and drew 650 more at the same time the clippers and the anaheim ducks played.
If it wasn't Greek day for the students I don't think our attendance would've broken 3500. Just seems sad when this team still has potentially everything to play for.

Is the Pac12 good or crap? Lol
Seriously... supposedly we're the 4th rated in RPI and NET, but how many teams will have NCAA worthy records?
Pac12 champ what... a 4 seed? 5?
Some sites still have 6 Pac12 teams dancing. Just don't see it! Could see 4 and 4 in NIT??
It'll be an interesting finish.

Will the Big 10 get 12 teams?

If the top teams in the Pac12 are once again playing dreadful like last year, this might be a lifeline to the season.

I think the Pac-12 does actually have some pretty good teams, just no elite team which probably leads to the perspective that it isn't a strong conference. uo, UA, CU are for sure in the tournament, and currently Stanford, USC, and ASU are fighting for 1-3 spots. To be considered we're going to need to get above two of them somehow, which probably means wins against CU, ASU, and then both bay schools at a minimum, as well as at least 2 Pac-12 tourney wins. That would put us at 21-12 (9-9), and in my completely uneducated guess would probably make us a first four play-in team or a 1-2 seed in the NIT. Steal a win @uo or @ua and finish with a winning conference record somehow? Who knows, that could be enough to clinch it cause that would probably mean 6+ Q1 wins which would be hard to ignore one would figure.
uo got hot and went on a tear last year after looking as inconsistent as we have for much of last year. Maybe now that there were finally two really solid performances put together this team is turning the corner and primed for a run too. It all starts with Colorado on Saturday, win that and then we can start that conversation. Lose, and IMO we can all but kiss NCAAs good bye barring a Pac-12 tournament run. Really wish these guys had built a little cushion by taking care of business against some "lesser" teams. 17-7 and 7-5 sound really good right now and would probably have us in as an 8-11 seed in current projections.
If there's one thing to give us all hope it's that we know this team can win every remaining game on their schedule. The scary thing is they could also collapse and finish 1-6 or 2-5 and bow out in the first round and miss both tournaments altogether. I'll be there Saturday ready to do my part in willing them to a W, hope the rest of beaver nation is too.

We essentially just need to be big CU and UA fans from here on out. uo winning would also probably be good for us but I can't bring myself to root for them. I wouldn't mind if USC stumbled and then we have to get ourselves above ASU and Stanford in the eyes of the committee somehow, someway. If we can put ourselves at that #5 spot in terms of resume then anything is possible.
