FTW! Enjoy!
BTW doesn’t look like ASU stepped on baseline while inbounding. They just passed it OOB.

Watch Pivec’s reaction after the basket. She immediately sees that ASU threw the inbound pass OOB.

One more for good measure. Watch Pivec spring free off the screen (of Robbie Ryan) for the game winner. Ryan flings her arm in disgust.

Very clearly inbounders foot is in the court area.....and the ball went OOB It looked like her left foot was in the air, but over the line. Does that count as being in bounds? Also, she threw the ball out of bounds along the sideline, but the Beavs inbounded it from behind the base line. If she had been considered OK when she passed the ball, would we have inbounded it from the side line where it went out? If so, that that would determine what the officials actually called, would it not?

Van Hyfte had right foot out of bounds and left foot inbounds. She picked up her left foot and then threw the ball to Richardson. Perfectly legal. She is getting screwed according to the stats, Richardson should have been paying attention. That one should be on #1. It almost hit her.

If she had been considered OK when she passed the ball, would we have inbounded it from the side line where it went out? If so, that that would determine what the officials actually called, would it not? No. The ball went directly OOB and was never put into play, so we got the ball where the in-bounds passer threw it. Almost identical play to the one Katie Mac scored at WSU to tie the game at the buzzer several years ago, except she had just enough time to catch and shoot. I think AG was the in-bounder in that game, too.

After beau coup attempts at stopping the replay, her left toe was still on the floor when the ball was off her hand, ergo the baseline throw in. Violation vs OOB pass. Looking at it further, the pass wasn't touched in bounds either, so baseline either way. And why they put time on the clock because it can't start until ball is touched inbounds.

This is why the women out draw the men, great team basketball that is a pleasure to watch. The men need to watch video on how team play is done instead of dribble, dribble, stand around looking at each other and launch a long 3. This is way more fun to watch.
The first play was a complete team effort, quick accurate passes by Aleah and Maddie, screen by Mik, timing by Kat and Destiny ran the baseline to clear out her defender under the basket.
The inbounds pass on the next play was perfect and Kat did her part to give Mik an opening.
Basketball how it should be played, I think the frowning Ralph way up there may have cracked a smile.
Hopefully Brown's knee isn't too swollen this morning and we use this win for late season momentum.

No coach that runs plays and such is ever going to get a 4* or 5* guy. They ain't going to put up with that BS. Five 1 on 1's is the way the game is played now. Maybe, just maybe on a 2 on 1 FB will the guy with the ball give it up. Maybe. Once out of 10.
