Watch Pivec’s reaction after the basket. She immediately sees that ASU threw the inbound pass OOB. My favorite part is Pivec’s screen. That screen had the technique of an offensive lineman pass blocking. Couldn’t have been ignored by the refs against a better teams. |

Didn't the Beavs run virtually the same play in the closing seconds against USC two years ago in Gill?...
The ball was inbounded closer to the half court line....Gulich received the first pass, pivoted and dropped a perfect bounce pass to Kat for an uncontested layup...
I don't have that game on tape anymore, but that's how I remember it......

Final comment: I don't think I have ever seen a game where 2 different inbounds plays were perfectly executed in the final 5 seconds...
The fact that they were executed against ASU, a physical, in your jersey defensive team, is all the more impressive.....
Those plays warm the heart of every X and O coach in the country.....

No coach that runs plays and such is ever going to get a 4* or 5* guy. They ain't going to put up with that BS. Five 1 on 1's is the way the game is played now. Maybe, just maybe on a 2 on 1 FB will the guy with the ball give it up. Maybe. Once out of 10. Sagey -- For the men, team play is "BS"? Well, you're likely right, but more's the pity. I'm no BKB guru, but I go to the women's games because they play as a "BS" unit!! |
