Key stat line. Turnovers:
ASU 14 OSU 8
We don’t seem to win the turnover battle that often but against ASU we did. And it might have been the difference.

Key stat line. Turnovers: ASU 14 OSU 8 We don’t seem to win the turnover battle that often but against ASU we did. And it might have been the difference. Agree - that was the difference. We also slightly lost the rebounding battle, and shot the ball identically, so not many other options to find an advantage. Without Brown, the rebounding game suffered. Still, we killed them in points in the paint - with a smaller lineup than usual, we went to the rim a lot. Some of that was probably by design to punish their aggressive defense with more backdoor cuts. Still, that TO number is unusual for a Rueck team, and great to see!

Anyone else notice that CTT was not in the line for the after game handshakes? I only saw her stroll off the court towards the locker room after the game. Class act.

She probably shook the coaches hands and then went back. If that happened, I don’t have a problem with it.

I saw that she did at least shake hands with SR.. and more, not sure if she went through the whole line of players.

Well, to me , it's down to officiating when you play ASU . They are physical beyond belief, they either have their hands or their bodies in full contact with whoever has the ball - as well as the next player in the offensive set. The first half - there were virtually no calls for some of the aggressive defense. I really don't know how Scott stays so calm, I was ready to tear my flat screen off the wall . At any rate - one obvious play , the errant inbounds - was properly called and Mik does her thing. That tattooed lady for ASU was lights out - and almost took us down by herself. I am glad she will be gone this next year . Very gutty performance by the girls and the coaches ! Go Beavers ! Hope Kennedy is okay ! Hurry back girl, we need you ! Go Beavers ! BTW , Maddie was amazing again . Just goes in and does her thing !

I saw that she did at least shake hands with SR.. and more, not sure if she went through the whole line of players. Well, while it was more SR seeking her out and shaking her hand, the Beaver - ASU coaches definitely had their after game perfunctory handshake..... After that, CTT did stride off the court toward her locker room without engaging with any Beaver players - and while I detest CTT with the best of them, in her defense the Beaver players were still celebrating - Katie Faulkner had to gesture for our players to line up to bid the ASU women better luck in Eugene. I will note that it seems the coaches in the Pac-12 are getting a bit more edgy or "win at all costs" - the Colorado coach pulls her whole team off the floor for the Beaver player intros, CTT can't bear to congratulate our players, or maybe I am just paying more attention. Well, off to gymnastics where things are a bit kinder and gentler :-). Go Beavers!

CTT just saw her team break down completely on help defense fundamentals on a game-tying inbounds play, gift an extra possession on a panic inbound pass, then lose on a very difficult, highly improbably catch-and-shoot that went to a player everybody expected it to go to. The loss put them at risk of not getting a top 4 seed, as they are likely to get rolled in Eugene in a revenge game, and only have Stanford (at home) left on their schedule that's a resume builder. They have exactly zero road wins against notable opponents - something the committee values pretty highly, and also means that missing a top 4 seed is even more important for them. Yesterday was a HUGE missed opportunity for them. I personally can give her a pass on just wanting to escape out of Gill asap.

Not a good start for the Beavs.
