In-state player? I though she was from California. My bad. "California here we come..... "
Btw, There is an interesting Wall street Journal story on SI but I won't link it here but here is part of it. Ticket prices...
"On Monday, ticket resellers were offering lower-bowl seats to the No. 4 Ducks’ sold-out game against No. 7 Oregon State on Friday at Oregon’s Matthew Knight Arena for as much as $460. Since Ionescu’s arrival at Oregon, average attendance at Ducks women’s home games has skyrocketed to more than 10,000—2,800 more than the No. 12 Oregon men’s team is drawing....."

This board will go off either way. The ridiculous hate for an in-state rival and the best player in the country will be fodder for 100s of posts... win or lose. The best women's college player in the country is Lauren Cox (Baylor). No way. You mean the woman that scored all of 6 pts in her last game while shooting 27%? Yeah, she's awesome. She's also averaging a whopping 12 pts/game this season.

Scalpers make a living by feeding uninformed media folks a line of bs about the supposed cost of tickets on the street. Naturally, legal resellers are only too glad to go along. You can always get a ticket for less than what the tv or newspaper is reporting. There is a word for those who would pay $460 for a ticket to Friday's game; that word is 'pigeon.'

If you know any of those types send them my way. My TM app has plenty of seats down south for $19-32. I'll gladly sell them for only $200.

She's coming off a stress reaction foot injury, too. She led them to the NCAA title last year. How many NCAA titles does Queen "I" have to her name?
Exactly.
Ducks think they can compete nationally in football too.

Cox got hurt early in the 2nd half of the Championship Game. Kalani Brown and Chloe Jackson had an awful lot to do w/ Baylor cutting down the nets, it's not like Cox was carrying the team. You also might recall Baylor barely beat Oregon in the semis (I don't care what the final score was--it was a tie game until 41 seconds remained).

I am not sure how you would compare them.

Hope and pray that the Beavers take at least one this weekend for this board's sake. This board will go off either way. The ridiculous hate for an in-state rival and the best player in the country will be fodder for 100s of posts... win or lose. I don’t hate her. I just don’t think she’s anything beyond a great basketball player.

Cox's D on the interior is unlike anything Ionescu does, but Ionescu's playmaking and perimeter shooting is unlike anything Cox does.

People here will just find anything to hate her. It's called being a bitter rival fan and watching things through rose colored glasses. But they do what they do.

Hate is far too strong a word. Someone describes why they don’t think she’s the nation’s best player and it’s considered “hating”. Thanks for the laugh.

What opens up the outside game is a dominant inside game . That's what takes pressure away from outside defenders hounding our guards. Agree? Did Stanford not quite our inside play?

But usually you can't do both dominant inside and out.
