Not that it means anything, but Northern Arizona has jumped all over San Jose St. 26-10 in Q1 in the first game tonight.

The guy doing the video does not know what he is doing. His is too close to the action. He has to move the camera too much to keep up with the action which distorts the image. I think he is trying to get close up actions, but you need a special camera to do that. Watching this makes me want to smake him in the head. Somebody needs to square him away during half time. This is just ridiculous. The best video comes from as high in the gym that you can get. You get closer via telescopic. I hate to say it, but there isn't much room in that "arena" to put a camera much farther from the court. The place is about the same size as a decent Oregon 5A high school gymnasium basketball court. I saw the gym they were in and there was plenty of room. I have done quite a bit of video in small gyms and his distance was was regulated by his panning in too close not the distance he was forced to sit at. . In their video the next game the distance was corrected and was appropriate however it was still choppy. I suspect that the focus setting was wrong. I don't know what kind of camera they are using but camera's now days have all kinds of settings that can mess things up if the person using it is not aware. Their auto focus could also be off. Still the proper distance made it far easier to watch even with the movement distortions. Still we should be greatful someone is doing it at all. I am sure they will do their best to correct any problems if it is in their power.

Tough crowd in here, huh? Speaking just for myself I was happy to have any video feed to watch, even if it was zoomed a little too tightly. Per Callan’s pregame, the video was organized with volunteer staff.

Careful Janessa. Lots of thousand megawatt smiles in that photo but Taya’s is especially heartwarming.
