OSU to hire LSU president...

I don't know what to make of the Ed Ray bashing on here.  At least in my lifetime he is the best President Osu has had, and I think a strong argument could be made for the best president in the history of OSU.  Just the fact he lasted as long as he did and is getting to retire on his own terms is a testament.

Even athletics-wise, he helped the Beavers make strides, build buildings, understood that athletics was an important aspect of the university (most past presidents felt it was a bane) and oversaw our most successful athletics department in school history.  I guess everyone who wants to bash on him just thinks it was done in spite of him?  What did he do wrong again?  Is this because of the Pac-12 network?  Or the Luke Heimlich situation?  Seriously, why the hate?

He certainly wasn't perfect, but everything he did I felt was done with scincerity, thought, honesty and nuance.  I for one stand up and applaud him for his work and will miss him when he is gone.
