Missouri State (7-1), only loss to Oregon State, is at home today against Wichita St (4-2). Go Lady Bears!
Miami is at home against #14 Indiana. Indiana is 7-1 with these victories: Indiana 73-49 over Florida at Florida Indiana 71-57 over South Carolina at the St Thomas USVI Indiana 78-44 over Washington State at the St. Thomas USVI
Indiana's only loss was to Baylor, 77-62 at the USVI. I would love to see Miami win this game, but I wasn't impressed with Miami against the Beavs, and Indiana looks very tough. I'm pulling for Miami, but thinking Indiana is going to hand Miami their third loss.
Down the road: Of interest is UCLA at Indiana on 12/22.

Also down the road, Missouri St. plays at Gonzaga on 12/20. Zags are ranked 18/17 in the 2 major polls.

I think both Missouri State and Gonzaga started the season underrated. I like them both, but I think Gonzaga is the better team. I hope Missouri State proves me wrong though.

Any opinion on OSU vs Hawaii? Hawaii is no pushover. They beat Texas by 13 and lost to a really good NC State team by 9.

NC State beat Maryland, giving the Terps their second loss of the season.
Ohio St. is leading Louisville by 5 w/ 3 minutes left. I can only assume Louisville played much better than this when they took down Oregon.

Ohio St. beats Louisville 67-60. It looks like parity is here. I think pretty much all of the top 10 teams have looked vulnerable at times this season.

Louisville lost, 67-60, to a (now) 5-3 Ohio State team that was 0-2 at home before this game. Assuming we beat Hawaii, do we move up to number 4 on Monday?

Wow - thanks for posting these interviews with Walz. There are different ways to inspire your players, and different ways to build winning programs. And different ways to conduct yourself. I think I prefer Rueck's approach - I cannot think of a time in an interview where he "called out" a player for anything other than a compliment. There was discussion in a different thread on this board of how ALL basketball programs have about the same family feel that the Beavers do - I would submit the second video above as exhibit #1 that the Louisville program could NOT have the same family feel as the Beavers given the way the "head of the household" Walz speaks of his players.
When I hear Walz talk, I think of a line from a Billy Joel song - "if that's moving up, then I'm moving out......" I anticipate more Louisville transfers in the future :-).
Go Beavers!
