I don't understand why the attendance was less than 5000 for a Championship game. This is a downer.

I don't understand why the attendance was less than 5000 for a Championship game. This is a downer. Mizzou State? A really good team, but NOT a team to merit a large crowd around here. Had it been 'furd, Baylor, uconn, or hole?.... a different story. I'd like to reiterate; that was a good team the Beavs beat today. De Paul too. Both teams we should expect to be in the tourney.

And... really 5k is a good solid crowd following a early evening football game. Not many want to travel back the next day. But, like all sports you have the loyal/every game fans and those big game/bandwagon type who show for big games. Nothing against the latter, but 5k loyal/every game fans is darn good with TV games.

2nd Half 45-30. Great effort. Going forward, this 2nd Half domination is a very good 'sign'.

Were you there? Just asking. of course! I would have liked to come down from PDX but had other commitments. Was able to take time to watch the game but couldn’t accommodate the 4hour round trip drive. A little jealous of those who are able to make it to all the games. This is going to be a fun season.

Every game should merit a large crowd. So you only see two or three games this year that will draw over 5000? What is the rest of the Pac-12 drawing so far or is everyone just trending down?

Here's your answer: 'ucks and Beavs lead the field (in the PAC), and it's not close. That's pretty impressive. Our state population is (of course) dominated by the Portland Metro area, where MOST the fans abide...I'm assuming due to demographics, etc. www.oregonlive.com/beavers/2019/02/oregon-oregon-state-among-nations-top-20-in-womens-basketball-attendance.html

Oregon is drawing 8000-9000+ per game. Pretty darn impressive.
Arizona about 3000-4000.

Mik was a star again - she takes a big hit, bleeding from the right nostril, constantly checking her teeth to see they are all there, has an abrasion over her lip... and she doesn't even take one play off ! That is one incredible example for her fans and her teammates. Kat was great, Aleah had some big shots, Jazz hit a big one, jones and Brown came up big whenever necessary. I don't like to complain about officiating, but the in bounds plays and some of the charges and blocks looked really strange- especially when called on us and replay showed us getting hammered. But, the girls also played through that crap - as well as their # 50 , who played like she was a tight end ! She took up a lot of space and our girls still banged around BD drove to the rim like they were being guarded by a fourth grader. Loved it !
