Superintendent Travis Hampton: "OSP has decided to re-deploy its resources in order to best serve the citizens of the state of Oregon,"
As was clearly stated by the OSP in the original story, the OSP pulled the plug on OSU, not vice-versa. So it seems as if the OSP needs the diapers, not Dr. Ray. And again, please tell me how anything beyond simply giving a polite warning to a biker riding on the wrong side of the road is intelligent police work. Not a big fan of the police from any agency needlessly harassing the people it is supposed to serve for the minorest of minor violations. Nice gross mis-interpretation of what actually happened. Come on, that’s ridiculous.

Come on, that’s ridiculous. So, what really happened? Could the entire incident never have happened had the officer simply told the woman, "You're riding on the wrong side of the road, please make sure not to do that in the future," and gone on his way, instead of asking for her ID? She was under no legal obligation whatsoever to provide ID, and we do not live in a country where citizens are required to show their papers upon request. How about the policeman uses some common sense and discretion? And we shouldn't believe the OSP when they say they were planning on leaving anyway, well before the incident? Why, that would mean the OSP has a credibility problem.
