Chin music has some of the facts. And thanks. I’m a Stanford season ticket holder and some of you know I write Pac 12 stories for three Stanford sites and keep a running list of WBB possibles on two of the sites
The 4.7 admit rate has nothing to do with potential athletes for our 36 sports. Because : First thing Any coach does is get a transcript. All sports have different rules on direct contact with an athlete and Stanford currently have commits for Baseball (2) and women’s soccer for 2023 athletes
Many coaches rather not have an athlete publicly commit until admitted like the top 10 WVB player just accepted then committed
The App goes to the athlete from the coaches when admissions gives the Ok The app then Comes back To the coaches and in most cases on to admissions. So at that point my guess is admit rate is 80% or so Except For football visibility is very poor
Many athletes who list Stanford don’t apply formally given the process I outlined. So a long way of saying no clue if Kampschroeder applied ? Accepted or not? However not the first WBB player to be accepted and not commit to Stanford. And for the rest of the story lol in a couple of hours.
Love this board. I do read others and this is one is the best

Bobbk - I was hoping you'd read this thread and chime in on it.....I appreciate the info....
I'm not sure why a coach would want to receive an athlete's transcript. High Schools vary so much in how they name courses, how they teach courses, and most importantly, how they grade courses that I can't see how a coach could make any meaningful sense out of them.....
At any rate, thanks for the input on how the Stanford recruiting/admission process operates.... GO BEAVS!!

Thank you all who liked. So what now almost 6 years ago Ms Pivec said she has committed to Oregon State over Stanford. She said one reason Tara wouldn’t be her coach all 4 years. So I wrote well maybe not admitted. In a wonderful note to me she included her acceptance letter. And became my favorite non Stanford player Plus I learned a valuable lesson

Not only is Pivec an exceptional and unique athlete, but probably just as much if not more of a special person. Thanks for sharing. That is the type of interaction some people would keep to themselves.

Nice find greybeav - - from the article you posted:
"Greta Kampschroeder / Midwest Elite / 6’0” / 2021
Greta Kampschroeder is an incredible three level scorer who uses her strength and skill to get to the basket and finish through contact. She has a smooth release and can get to her spot in the mid range at anytime and drain the jumper or spot up from behind the three point line. The Oregon State commit continues to be one of the top players in the nation and is virtually unstoppable when she is using her skill getting to the rim. " ------------------------------------------------------------ Looking more and more like we're getting a good one.... GO BEAVS !!

Greta helped lead her team to a win over All Iowa Attack (their second team), they ended the game on a 14-0 run to win 42-40. They play All Iowa Attack EYBL at 11:15 (PT), which has ‘22 recruit Taylor McCabe.

Did they win the championship game They got beat pretty good by All Iowa Attack EYBL in the championship at USJN Indy a few days ago. AIA is likely the top club in the country (certainly top-5). They didn’t make the championship game at Nike TOC Indy, as they lost to the Philly Belles in pool play and only the top team from each pool advanced.
