newduke2 - it could be, I didn't verify....HOWEVER, the final minute highlights her 8 schools and that was news to me - -so I went ahead and posted....
I was unaware that her 8 schools were public knowledge....

any news old or new mentioning HVL to the Beavers is fine with me. I actually think she is our biggest target right now and she is a great player at a position of need.

No problem at all with posting this. Yes her final 8 was released months ago. I have not heard a pepe out of her since she released this. I would guess that in her mind she has already narrowed the list down. I wish there was more recruiting coverage of WBB. You would think with the way it's popularity is increasing there would be more.

Interestingly, this King 5 video was re-upped on YouTube Aug 18 and the folks on Baylor's WBB forum are discussing it today as if it were brand new information.  (as we know the video first appeared on YouTube Feb 7 and was soon "posted" on this forum WITHIN 24 HOURS by beavershoopsfan...talk about being on top of things!) For the curious who might wonder where Van Lith will end up, BOTH her and point guard Sarah Andrews (#7 player overall for 2020 as per ESPN) are visiting Baylor this weekend. Some speculate Baylor might/could get both, hence the joint visit. I think we will know early next week where HVL is headed. Signing Day (week) is Nov 13-20.

Sarah Andrews has committed to Baylor So where does that leave Miss Van Lith? If both were there this weekend as reported, she was certainly aware that Andrews committed. Likewise, Andrews would have been aware of Van Lith's intentions. I have a hard time envisioning both of them being keen to go to the same school. I guess we'll know soon enough. |

HVL seems to have already eliminated the Beavs, but if Slocum turns pro at the end of this season, the point guard is her's for the taking.....
Somehow I can't shake the idea that she has some serious interest in OSU. I'm an evidence-based thinker, and there ain't much evidence here, but still, I can't shake the idea that the Beavs might sneak up and win this lottery...
I was totally wrong about the Team USA - Stanford game, so maybe there's another surprise in store....

HVL recruitment - a more sobering thought just entered my entirely too free of important things to think about mind....
HVL is keeping mum about her choice of schools not because she's undecided, but because she wants a big, splashy announcement at her school gym some time during signing week.

My guess would be that she's reviewing all options in light of Sarah Andrews' commitment to Baylor. Somebody said UCLA was a possibility, but they have 2 top recruits listed as point guards (Owens and Osborne) in their 2019 class. The Ducks already have point guard in their 2020 class. (I don't know about Louisville.)
There's much to be said for committing fairly early in the process. If you wait until the end to decide, you just might find your first choice couldn't wait any longer and they've gone in a different direction.
